Drift, shoot nitro, and go back to drifting. The faster you do this the better, you can judge if you did it well by looking at your speedometer and car. If the car turns a lot during the punch that's bad, if you lose lots of speed that's obviously bad as well but normally trion punches at 380 to 400 and f5 at 460 to 480 or 500+ if after ramp.

Ultima does 380 to 360 as well for normal punches, closer to 380

And yes, only floaty cars can punch, if it seems like it doesn't work, it doesn't, if it seems like you're doing it wrong, you are doing it wrong, don't second guess.

Ah, and don't change how fast you're turning, on tilt (mobile) that would be holding your device at the same angle the whole time, the reason is that when the punch causes a float, changing how sharp you're turning breaks the float and so your punch becomes useless and you lose speed. Hold it steady. Im not sure how it works on keyboard im moving over to keyboard as well and im so confused with the controls

Ah I see, 360 floats are a thing, 360 in the opposite direction to the turn and shoot nitro, break the nitro with break to start another drift as you come to the corner and drift normally. The thing is any turning needs to happen during the 360 as changing the amount you're turning by afterwards breaks the float

Its a bit hard to explain like this, im sure the video someone mentioned above explains it better

With floaties, if you think you're doing it wrong, you are, i spent a long time doing 360s everywhere and all it did was make me lose speed.

A float starting at low speeds, then a float after a ramp (uses up airspeed for 360 so better ground speed), then a punch. Punches are far more common and are for short corners, floaties are for wide, long turns.

This is a first try and not a car - track combo im used to so you could probably keep higher speeds, especially for the first floaty.

There was this one guy I had once in my lobby who used it and he just straight up violated me with it on one of the roman tracks.
