the tracks in gauntlet are short, so if you have low accel you don't have time to catch up to the high accel cars that get ahead at the very start

in general if you can properly manage your nitro then you don't need a lot to do well

but if you don't have high accel there's not much you can do to fix that

if you play better with high nitro cars thats fine but eventually you'll get good enough where accel becomes more important

that depends on the car itself

if you have a car with high acceleration and low handling then the best thing you can do is manage your nitro to make sure you have shockwave when you exit the turn

then you're back up to speed in no time

aspark especially has pretty bad drifting but youll see that if you can get a shockwave after you gain most of your speed back if not all

and sometimes, what i also dont understand - i have for example a maxed huaracan evo spyder - playing vs another maxed of the same car - why are they faster at the start. is there like a trick to like... speed up faster (without nitro?)

wallriding is faster depending on the place and car, you just have to learn where to do it and when honestly

as for nitro while drifting that's a more advanced technique called punch drifting that's good for cars that can floaty drift (if you've encountered that before)

nitro brake you just need to get used to the timing of it, once you slow it down its easy

when you come up to a corner you can 360 in the opposite direction of the turn and catch the car very early

in alot of cars in this game (especially s class) you can mess with the way the suspension is to make it stop losing speed/lose speed a lot slower

but this takes alot of practice

espeically the venom

because they have very low acceleration

so you need tracks where you have a ramp to get you up to speed more quickly

something that comes to mind is rocketing to the future, the norway track with many ramps at the start
