Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹

I recently finished building my Trident 350mm AWD kit from Siboor, so I would like some advice on things that I could improve.

Before starting I just want to let you know that I am not looking for prefection, since I will be upgrading to A4T and Chube Compact as soon as its released, and I also plan on switching out the CF X-axis, moving the printer to another location (or at least getting a stone block to put underneath it, since its currently on carpet ๐Ÿ˜ฑ).

I am mostly interested in a reason why my graphs, especially Y-axis became much worse after a week of printing.

just saying hi. no rush, take your time ๐Ÿ™‚ let us know once u are comfortable everything from #1308097646786777108 message is provided ๐Ÿ™‚

As I said its a Siboor kit (350x350x250), so it has a lot of upgrades, but mainly:

  • metal, double shear, AWD gantry kit
  • CF X-axis extrusion
  • ClickyClacky doors
  • 9mm belts
  • ...

I know you already had a few such kits, so I wont bore you with details. Other than replacing the PS to 36V and changing some fans to Sunon ones and installing the umbilical thingamajig, I didnt do any other modifications to the kit.

I am also running Kalico, motors sync and TMC autotune

#

This is the current state of the printer:

#

I am currently using axl345 on my toolhead (SB2209), but I can also switch to cartographer axl345, just let me know if you want me to redo the graphs

#

I am running pretty high tension as recommended by guys on Siboor discord, since GT3 belts come included in the kit.
I am currently at 180Hz, and I measure it with mobileraker app

#

My main reason for writing now is that my graphs changed very much in about a week of printing, so I was wondering if you have any recommendations on what I should check. I used threadlocker and vibratite on every screw I could get my hands on, so I doubt those are the reason.
Aside from that I noticed that my plexi panels are vibrating very hard when i do any fast direction switching or if I run shaketune (I can hear them through the walls in other room) I used foam gasket under them when building the printer, so I was wondering if you guys had any good recommendations on what I should do.

Here are some graphs I did over the last week:

#

Also I might not be super available today as I have some work to finish up, but from tomorrow I can do any changes/updates you need me to

#

@hexed linden Im ready, feel free to roast me if I forgot something

#

I read the guide so hopefully it should all be here

looks good

Since I still don't know when chube compact will be released

#

I am mostly interested on what could be the reason for such worsening of the belt and y axis graphs over last week

#

And if there are any ways to reduce panel vibrations

hexed linden
#

look at the very top of the graphs

#

u cant compare apples with oranges

careful

#

its not only scv

#

look closely

shut grove
#

Yap, also APH, and I switched to normal corexy for the testing

#

But shouldn't last few belt graphs be compareable, since I had the same settings

#

and there is a peak at 75Hz that appears

hexed linden
#

are u doing a G28, motor_sync, G28 before each test?

shut grove
#

Yes, g28, motors sync, z_tilt, g28 and then test

hexed linden
#

check if belt tension changed

@shut grove try for a 240hz (about 18 lbs) on the gt3 9mm belts

Can you tell us what you did to the printer between your first graphs and second graphs?

Those last few belt graphs were done one after another with no mechanical changes in between, basically tried restarting the printer, heating it up, cooling it down, moving the head in circles, and it just kept getting worse

ember helm
#

first step would be to check for loose screws, for all the screws in the gantry

shut grove
#

And then the peak at 75hz just dropped after I hit the bed while z_tilting

Well, seems like I won't be doing much this week. My raspberry melted

#

I'm ordering replacements from Mouser/DigiKey tomorrow, so they should be here next week

#

Scratch that, I have RP2040 on a different board I was working on, I'll be transplanting it tonight

I unplugged it to try fixing the gap on top of SB, but there must have been some charge left in the capacitors, and I managed to plug it in off by 1 row

#

Turns out mcu didn't like 24V

shut grove
#

Anyways, already fixed

#

Not my finest work, I managed to melt one of the connectors, but it its good enough until the upgrade

#

Ups, one resistor is shifted

#

we are back in business. I flashed the new IC with katapult and klipper and connected everything. It was kinda thrown together just to see if it works, but here are current graphs

#

I will retighten screws and belts tomorrow and screw on the top plexi plate. Hopefully there will be some improvements.

#

BTW , do you guys know if its possible to flip the x axis endstop switch upside down. Currently I have it like in the photo, but the metal part is vibrating a lot when doing fast moves/running shaketune
