custom sheet metal "sandwich" gantry
custom front idlers
custom z axis (6x 8mm rods)
24V motors
adxl on beacon rev E woops, adxl is on ebb36, my bad
basic (1 bearing) umbilical support thingy
ebb36 with 3-point mount

question: Where do I even start with my Y axis?

I think you might be onto something here. I recently removed the Y rails to give them a good cleaning and relube, and it does appear to be racked a bit after reinstallation. I had forgotten to check this during reassembly. Will adjust and report back.

I've de-racked the gantry. Graphs still wacky. So, I unbolted the extruder and suspended it above the rest of the toolhead so that it would be isolated. Pic of that setup and the resulting graph below. I still get 4 peaks. When I excite at those specific frequencies and investigate/listen to the printer real closely I can't figure out where the resonance is coming from. The peaks are too low energy I guess to really hear them. Open to additional ideas.

also I switched to a nozzle adxl.

I would suggest using the Bom standard xy joints, ab motor mounts, and front idlers. Let’s get that Bom standard looking right then we Chan change out the parts one at a time

So I'm pretty sure it's the bed vibrating. I'm going to make some changes there and see how it goes. I don't have a lot of time to work on my printers so will probably be a while. Do I need to close this thread or anything?
