the iconic part ofc
i don't feel the same edgy anarchist's energy that he's supposed to have when he's talking
the leveling system kinda throws me off
yeah the anarchist part of silverhand isn't really there in the game
barely in the flashbacks
he kinda talks like me when i'm hungover
and that's not a cool rockerboy voice, let me tell you
he's known to proxyword people over in the lore , yk
There isn't as many type of ways both V and Johnny feel about situations. They have static gruff and tough reactions to it in a way. Feel like that's what lacking for characterization.
also, as per CDPR fashion
Side quests is important
I can agree that it needed at least two years to be done
and that E3 early release date announcement was meh
judging from the patch notes, there's a chance that they can
games are announced way, WAYYYYY to early nowadays
but bethesda just added a battle pass
agreed
can't deny it
it feels like the only three devs around that know when to announce their games are valve, SGGs and idsoftware
that's why you should never ever pre oder games
as in - let's announce our game when we feel confident about it
or any products
indeed
before launch
preorder now to get an exclusive weapon skin and 10 day xp booster!
lol
or get a premium loot boxes
"It works for them , why not us?"
Cause they drink soy
WOW
so you mean i can buy a thing that i don't know if it's any good and then wait three months with less money in my pocket just to play your game in a rougher state than people that wait (and pay more for it too) AND make my experience worse with crappy unlocks?
sign me the heck up!
you mean to tell me that I can get an edge over everyone and gets a cOoOoL gun by paying 20$ more?
oh you mean to tell me that i can get an edge over a braindead AI by paying 20 freedom eagles more?
and edge i can get for free by just... slightly nudging the difficulty slider to the left?
CAN I HAVE TWO!?
YOU CAN HAVE THREE

JUST DROP EXTRA 20 eurodollars in here
Cough Cough EA
tbh, some of their games are good like titan fall 2
thank you very much
, time to give you a crappy game that is exactly a copy of last year's version

too bad it got overshadowed by BTF1 and COD
hue
underated gem
sidenote, never treat anyone involved in a game with hate and PROXYWORD death threats
one of which was a game PUBLISHED BY EA ITSELF
it's like they wanted to set them up for a failure
BIg brain move
and people say Nintendo is bad
if you want to support your gamedev, send them a tweet, dm, email
heck even a mention in their server like here https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/604967283877609482/826037977809027092/unknown.png
wholesome
seeing people sending death threats is BS
yeah
they are DM in DnD
very creative
and half the time, it's something that isn't even worth making such a big deal about
thanks
I'm the kinda person who gets excited to read patch notes(habit I picked up from overwatch and league) so this is like big news to me
exactly, and it baffles me so much
"buh game delay? you be dead rn"

Cough Cough Yandere dev
how long was it again?
oh no
not the game delays
a decade?
see - i'm going to good ol 3d realms route
"when it's done"
i just either go "when it's done" or "soon" on my dinky little projects and no one got disappointed so far so
Oh no _ CDPR
remember the legendary sims3 patch notes?

hi aggy!
oh yeah. Silksong
lmao, that video
(though I'm impatiently waiting for more silksong news π)
should have been like Valve
Hey Aggy π
being mysterious
I have way too much backlog to remember the games I'm looking forward to lol
ok, so - if there's anyone here that has never seen this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nxsCZ2SEcQ
From the dick kickem guy, a narration of the greatest patch notes ever.

so funny you asplode
legendary
Hoi Hoi

tipping m'fedora for you

https://i.redd.it/tr3yisy6zxp61.png
wow
and it says there's more at the end of the website
better be working cuz my last save got messed up real goood
until there's a redemption like Hello games then maybe i'll buy it?
i highly doubt it tho
after playing the witcher 3 for a while, i understand why the fans were hype for cyberpunk
I get your point, but it's a different source and material and tactic they were using
- I'm maybe one of the few people in this but... I enjoyed Cyberpunk more so than Witcher 3
some thing about the high fantasy didn't click for me as opposed to the cyberpunk future
there's a good chance most people will forget about the cyberpunks launch as well as the not so flattering news (a massive understatement I know) surrounding it
when i first saw the trailer, i thought it's going to be like GTA
the TTRPG from the '80 were never about that at all
they haven't fogotten about Fallout 76 soooo
I'm still realistic about the whole thing, it'll be a moment in gaming's history that's for sure
FO76 was also several miststeps over years
fo76 engine was baaaad
so they kept putting themselves in the mess
like way bad
my toaster can run better than their engine
I'm almost sure the indestructable nokia phones run better than it
still stuck on 60fps
i mean it can block a bullet so what did you expect?
you can go faster with better graphics card
you sure you don't mean 6.0fps π
There you go
you read my mind
REDengine 4 is just beautiful, even on low settings
God, this is gonna be a looooooooooooooooooong March
All the interesting games come out in April
What comes out in June?
disgaea 6
and horizon forbidden west, i hope
look at this doooood
look how happy he is
it's a nice day outside and not a single bug in sight!
And in May Biomutant, Deathloop and REVIII
Indeed
ahhh i preordered nier replicant. im super excited for it
i think its the most expensive game i bought with my own money though
is that a nier automata sequel?
its actually a remake/remaster/update of the game that came before nier automata. so a prequel in a sense
the original nier?
yep
cool.
Ackshually Nier is also a sequel to the Joke Ending of Drakengard 1
i am smart now
You know what I miss?
the target
Telltale Games
o
The company was kinda bad with their crunch
But I miss their games. Used to play a decent amount with friends
It's like a movie, but more interactive
whats that gamer girl twitch sim
Lmao
they can replace telltale if you really want to
What
you've never heard of that
it's an fmv telltale style game where a twitch streamer asks her simps what she should do in her personal life. specifically you and then i think she gets murdered
you are her twitch moderator
yeah that
which still doesnt make sense but yeah
its not even on their website so i guess its cancelled
prolly got cancelled cause how many people said it was stupid
the game didn't even come out. yes the concept is kinda creepy but they criticized a game just on the scenario.
ok, apparently it was supposed to release in sep. of 2020 and got shoved under the rug not cancelled for being "tone deaf"
thats the same thing
yeah i guess you're right
game's fixed
is it good now
all people do these days is like to complain about stuff all day
exactly. 10/10 it has a little something for everyone
I haven't touched it so far. didn't trust the hype.
I don't plan to either.
I do like CDPRs output for their writing and presentation, but their mechanics, especially when it comes to items, tend to be a bit toss.
I wish it was less cyber and more punk
witcher 3 was the first one with alright combat, and even there you'd drown in useless weapons and armor.
or schematics for useless weapons and armor.
it's especially sad since a lot of it looks very nice
WOOOO YEAH ECONOMYYY YES I LOVE THE ECONOMY WOOOOO
To be honest I hate the Punk genre
understood, but the punk aspect in this game is non existing
punk music is bad but i don't know how a game genre can be "punk"
Isn't it ?
not really.
well , it's all from the ttrpgs
Punk music rules whatthehell
idk jack proxyword about punk music, all I know is that Refused and their album SAMURAI was cool
it's edgelords screaming about depression
The most "punk" games that come to mind are brigador and charlie murder
and it's not punk 100%
it's more rock in general
I did give Gerry a listen or two
he did
I did
...that's like saying hip hop is just douchebags bragging about their money
all the punk music i've listened to is people screaming with a repeating guitar loop made in garageband.
i've seen no observable talent
I feel like punk's entirely dependent on how serious the band takes itself and their music
aa ee oo #video-games ee ee aa
ah yes
I guess Brigador feels punk because you blow up the infrastructure of an oppressive government in a spectacular way while playing as often deeply flawed characters.
the music in it is more 80s camp though
good games tho
is ror 2 a kbm or controller type game?
kbm
in my opinion
also sunless sea is weird because I don't mind wordy games, but sunless sea's wordiness just wasn't interesting lol
maybe i should give it another shot
Sunless Seas problem is that it doesn't really ease you in with its setting. also the UI is terrible.
the shadowrun games are excellent. well, returns is a bit eh, but the other two are great tactical RPGs.
hong kong is one of my favorite stories in a game
also it has gobbet!
KBM
I can't play shooters on gamepad
Sunless series is interesting. It's def one of those games. You kind of like or not. It's slow paced and has a bunch of text to go through when playing, which I can get ,since it came from a website game project which is connected to lore and stuff to series in a way. Sunless Skies def made it easier to play and move compared to Seas, way better (it has side boosters so big plus).
I'll say Dragonfall has the better main story and Hong Kong the more interesting characters and sidequests.
Yup. I can't play Sunless Sea.
I don't mind the text and story.
But the game feels so slow. I'm not waiting 2 mins to crawl to the next event tyvm. Not to mention you if you die, you do it all over again with the same slowness.
i donβt know, i loved the hk story. the expansion falls flat, though
Sea is a bit easier to aporoach if you have played the browsergame
the expansion of hong kong's not great, ye
i haven't played the expansion to hong kong
absolutely loved the main game's focus on folklore and such, especially with how you can resolve the final conflict
it was wackier with its setting than Dragonfall, like the mission where you have to destroy a company with bad feng shui
I love the music in the shadowrun games as well, especially john everist's osts. they're so atmospheric (?)
It's no wonder the next entry in the series will be a VN. Considering their wordiness it is fair they would opt in for that.
Hong Kong felt more vibrant for sure, both in characters and setting
or well not series but series of games in same Fallen London universe.
the matrix in hk is so stressful though
Hong Kong was a bit overenthusiastic at times though. some NPCs werevmaybe a bit too eager to lay down their entire backstory
maybe. but i for one enjoyed getting to know the vendors as more than just vendors
poor reliable matthew
gave me an excuse to make a round of heoi, enjoy the music, and do some chatting
i figured
i wish the go players had more backstory, honestly. they intrigued me
I do like that you only get a glimpse into the story of some
oh yeah sometimes HK would be too wordy
lol i've heard that before, but i like wordy
wordy isn't my problem. more "why do you tell me your entire backstory?"
you don't really have to dig that deep if you don't want to, though. just do your transactions and move on
although I think some of those were backer characters from the kickstarter
oh, yeah, they're listed in the art book, i think
oh, the shop keepers weren't even that bad
I don't think we learn that much about the monk who sells chi abilities.
they had a really cool name I don't remember
i played dragonfall and hk recently after a long time. i'd forgotten the opening scene in hk and got legitimately hyped when i saw it. and the Opening Theme!
Spider Shen, I think
somehow i forgot that i had the soundtracks in the game files, so i've been listening to them a lot lately
I have the vinyl somewhere
it's a really good score
something kind of cool is your characters relationship with their past, especially through their orky bro Duncan.
it's just a small detail, but I like that your character has a real name and a moniker.
yeah, and that you can really choose what kind of person you were before in a way that seems to matter - especially near the end of the game
yeah, the bonus content does give it a bit of a damper though.
I like the final scene and decisions it gives you in theory, but the way in which the story gets you there feels contrived.
totally agree. enemies all look the same (with the exception of that one sidequest with the girl)
i definitely think there should have been a third option at the end, where ||you could give up your SIN but let your bro have his back||
absolutely. ||I don't like that you can't opt out of that. It bites that the ending that feels right for my character comes at the cost of duncans happyness.||
it's the only game where I did both endings because neither of them felt satisfying. i also would have hoped that if you chose to go home, you could get a better chance to say goodbye to your team
like, ||you staying in the shadows while your bro returns to his old life|| still would have been bittersweet.
there could never be a truly "good" ending, but to have the choice available would have been nice
it's kind of a bummer since the end of dragonfall (the final U-Bahn-ride) is so good and leaves so much room for interpretation
that was a great final scene, though I heard that your decision doesn't really change the ending text much
I don't think that matters
I like the implications your final choice has
the ending might not change, but your involvement in it does, even if it's not spoken out loudly.
to a small extent (though i suppose that's the point: you're just a little guy standing against giants in the end)
i wish hbs would make another one. not a sequel, but a new story in a new place. the world is just so unique
though i imagine any new shadowrun game won't look like the old ones
Same. I'd love one set in australia
according to some old rulebooks it's a super weird and dangerous setting.
more than usual I mean
haven't read much about australia in the shadowrun universe, but i'm not surprised that it would be dangerous! i was thinking along the lines of the middle east or africa
or maybe india or pakistan, or south asia in general!
ooh, one in istanbul would be rad. I think one of the dragons hangs out there.
don't know much about the tabletop lore and rulebooks, though the hbs trilogy did lead me to research a bit!
istambul would be pretty cool. there's a slight connection to dragonfall there as well, with the cafe owner
althug!
playing Hong Kong led me to research the irl Walled City. it's a fascinating story and way to live
I think his presence is really cool since residents with turkish roots are a big part of a lot of german cities. makes it feel more authentic.
huh, new thing learned today
oh, dΓΆner fastfood places are omnipresent in cities like berlin.
Dragonfall in general nails a lot about its setting, even if some of the street signs written in german are a bit funny
that's definitely not something i would catch! what's funny about the signs?
they're not exactly wrong, but weirdly utilitarian at times. like, imagine a shoe store that's just named "shoe store" with no flourishes at all.
oh XD yeah, that would be pretty weird! don't know german, so i never noticed anything off
it's charming in a way
and the setting nails everything else. the names, german and eastern european, feel authentic and the vibe's just right.
i'm impressed: the devs obviously really put a lot of effort into these games
it shows, even if you don't know the culture of the setting, but it's extra nice when the setting is well-researched and authentic
RoR 2 has been acquired. If it updates my discord status and changes the fact i've been playing pcsx2 for the past week, mark my words. i've been playing for the past week.
frick it updated
shoot stuff, loot stuff, move on
as simple as simple gets.
anyone know games by terry cavanagh
Loot that Stuff! My favourite song from Bastion

You kill that mob. I loot his stuff. π΅
You kill that mob. I loot his stuff. π΅
Some day you inventory is gonna max. π΅
it seems very barebones. like your explanation is the game. "shoot. loot."
also is there a character tierlist that a lot of people agree with
Cuz the game is barebones
that's not a bad thing
it is what it is
yeah, when i first got ror2 i was confused of what to do because there is no story, no nothing.
the game is fun only because the gameplay is fun.
is it a like or a lite?
do you only gain skill run to run or do you gain other things aswell?
There are tons of skills. But you lose all of them when you die
i meant skill as in how good you are at the game.
But It's lite because you earn characters between runs
that's an "errmrmmrmrmrmrmm technically"
you would be hard pressed to find any -like nowadays
but RoR2 is more purist than say Hades
both are technically lite
RoR2 is more "like" than Hades, if this makes sense
i technically get it
That's because pure, PURE Roguelikes are for nostalgia seekers and masochists
^
i just can't imagine a game with no goal. i wouldn't have a reason to play the game. it's just not a sustainable business model.
notability lookin' ass
the word you are looking for is legible
why is pokemon on a roguelike diagram
because pokemon has some roguelike characteristics?
how
random encounter, tile based action (at least pre gen 6), turn based combat
that's like the pc 98 definition and i hate pc 98 definitions.
whats pc98?
I mean have you seen/played the original rogue/nethack?
It's a japanese computer!
they are free for download
if you want a quick 5 min novelty because they are old games, I mean old.
By this definition like half of rpgs are roguelikes???
what i'm saying is that is the first game in the roguelike genre's gameplay henceforth that is the definition of roguelike but roguelikes are much broader nowadays ie hades
more or less, it's a spectrum.
zelda is technically a roguelite.
JRPG literally started out as a Japanese adaptation of the game Rogue.
technically
I mean you are asking for classification, of course technicality will be involved lol
when did Zelda become turn-based
i mean yeah technically
I'm not saying Zelda is turn-based, I'm saying the definition can stretch as far as Zelda
to demonstrate the point that yes, many RPG can be considered Roguelite.
technically
it's like a cousin three times removed.
oh dang wait sorry I got the gist
Why do -likes and -lites have to have the most easily confuseable names I swear
to make people think every once and awhile
Because we haven't come up with a better name for the genre(s) yet
roguelike comes off the tongue better
oh yes
'rogue-ish' sksjdh
Although, Roguelike = Games like Rogue
Roguelite = Roguelike-like
A derivative of a derivative
Did you make that scale?
yeah
i mean, we as a collective pile of people playing video games never moved on from that concept lol even today you still have people comparing any game of a genre to that genre's most popular game, and calling it a clone/ripoff
everything is Dark Souls
because, yknow, no other game is allowed to exist in a genre besides the popular thing apparently
Sooooo. Has the Halo Killer appeared?
Remember when any FPS was dubbed the 'Next Halo Killer'
Halo killed Halo
you can't tell me this isn't a minecraft clone https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/800967579920760855/826231598365933628/unknown.png
that's not saying that clones don't exist, just that not everything is clone.
aa ee ooo
it's like saying how sometimes you say stupid stuff, gerri, but not everything you say is stupid.
exactly this. the notion that anything that uses mechanics, features and so on similar to x popular game immediately makes it a clone is ridiculous. many games simply would not exist without inspiration from those before them
it's technically a complement
well then i thank you for your compliment kind sir
connotation.
see the difference between this:
you say stupid stuff sometimes, but you say smart stuff, too <--- compliment
you say smart stuff sometimes, but you say stupid stuff, too <--- not a compliment
that's very nice i like that.
You sound stupid, smartass <-- compliment
that wasn't very nice i didn't like that
I remember a youtuber who complained about how indie devs overused an unity store thingie, a tool to make Minecraft clones incredibly cheaply basically bloating steam with Shovelware. Can't remember who, tho
There's a lot of those
Not only minecraft clones
These are called asset flips, which is common
I am more annoyed when game devs steal from themselves. Like you really made 4 black ops?
i remember Terraria being called Minecraft clone
I used to call it that π³
we all did
Funnily enough in terms of 'Soul', MC closest equivalent is Dwarf Fortress
My opinion, I mean
and that may be true, since it was one of the main inspirations
Yeah, MC is basically Accesible Dwarf Fortress. And that's okay
DF is really not a game childs can play
you have to become a dwarf to play it
but you will be able to understand some silly memes about it, and that's also nice
Or read the Greek Tragedies written about an specially hilarious Save
Like that one where players inherit the fortress after x time
WITHOUT telling them anything
So they for example didn't know what did what level
Or why it works like that
speaking of, i've never heard anybody calling Rimworld a DF clone, even though there are some common features
why so?
i didnt π
what an angel...
i actually always favoured terraria over minecraft lol i bought it a few months before the 1.1 update hit
I got gifted Terraria and never touched it
done with what?
no one dare blaspheme my minecraft
Anyone here played Starbound?
it's overrated
and now survives only because it's popular and kids like it

so it's a content mine for youtubers and streamers
there are better sandbox games out there
i kinda agree with that
can't change my mind
huge starbound fan here, chucklefish in general but that one's probably my fave
i don't know any better sandbox games
difficult relations with Starbound
literally, terraria
you said you never touched it
but ive seen gameplay
Terraria was nice even back when all the natural-generated blocks were square, and there was only Corruption, no Crimson
i still have at least one world file somewhere from when all the blocks were square
wish there could be an option to try again old versions, like with Minecraft
i dont miss old terraria honestly lol
but what game gives you the same creative freedom as minecraft
the sims
what
you can like minecraft. you need to understand that terraria and minecraft strive to achieve different things, however.
see that's just wrong
you can build anything in minecraft
minecraft is moddable better than Terraria, but on the other hand, Terraria already has plenty of content in vanilla
also fwiw, minecraft is good is also because of mods
that's the thing i have to give to terriria
their content they add consistently is a lot
"freedom" in vanilla mc is good, but not the same type of freedom you think of.
they were supposed to have their final update and theyve already done like a final-final and final-final-really-final-this-time update lol
basically, they both hold the genre on their shoulders
or you know, learn any programming language and achieve the true freedom in creating stuff
minecraft from 3d side, terraria from 2d side
but that requires work
it's only a matter of time before you'll start making your own mods for minecraft
and starbound
or get big enough and get caught in a cheating scandal
that was just a dream, go back to sleep.
honestly i never got into starbound. i followed it for a while and had a beta key waaay back in the beginning but i liked it less the more it developed. when the final product officially came out i think i only put like ~10hr in and never really went back to it because i felt bored
although from my experience, people seem to talk about minecraft more often than playing minecraft
is that true?
idk
i play the game more than i talk about it because it's having another "i hate it because it's popular" phase
in my imo
i am supposed to play it rn, dig out the house we built from the sand, that has been added to destroy all the ghost light bugged blocks, appearing for some reason and creating lag
so, it is true in a way
oh yeah remember when we were gonna make an sgg minecraft server
yep
i played starbound from beta too and i was engaged the whole time. i havent played in years to be fair. where as minecraft i am gonna pick up and play again with friends
i rebranded it to a valhelsia friend server
valhelsia?
my friend and i were dragged into a server making of a guy we know.. he managed to get his pc relatively upgraded, and decided to use old hardware for something productive
so we are testers now in a way.. supposed to put together most popular stuff for 1.12.2 and make it work
i'm still feeling guilty for not figuring it out sooner
could've joined the sgg server thing
what
it takes three
what
que
nani
Yes
Is it good
idk you should probably ask the person who played it
||that was the stupidest thing i've ever said||
I'm starting to understand what you mean.
Yes, it is
I keeps you on edge as basically you get new things to do each 5 minutes
Does it bring new things to the table with the coop
do you need a girlfriend to play efficiently?
Yes and no
It brings new things by making the Asymmetric coop and active coordination and communication between players vital
Like overcooked?
π₯² yay
That being said The game is a middle ground between Tale of two Sons and A way out
It strikes a much better balance between Story and Gameplay
It have a story?
.... What?
holy hell I just realized you can charge boost your sword in furi when im 3/4 way through the game.
no wonder why I felt so weak.

Always gotta make sure you can charge attacks in games.
Man, I wish the Jetstream Sam DLC had been a little longer, or he'd had a slightly bigger moveset.
Speaking of MGR
I didn't know you can dodge
...for the whole game
Until Jetstream Sam DLC
Even then that's after I watched a vid someone take on the final boss

Ay it means you have done a dodgeless run, be proud for your skills!
I watch a guy who did that and he got super frustrated at the final boss fight 'cause you still take chip for parrying him.
I, on the other hand, like to obsessively read lists so I knew about it very early into the game and used it liberally.
Wait you do?
I didn't notice
Well when the final boss ||threw a large pillar|| you can get health restore from that
Iirc
The game is pretty liberal on health restore
Sus link
@wispy inlet Yeah see this
cheers
Thanks for the quick job
Welcome back
woooo
oh what
there is Twitch interrogation for it? imao.
awh
skills have the same voice
a bit sad but still good
makes sense since its all in his head
yeah that's true. It's also used for when there is no dialogue and just description.
is there a way to make ror2 borderless windowed?
I've used 3rd party programs before in the past to get borderless windowed. Can't remember the name of the program in particular, though.
I think I used it for Nier: Automata?
Disco Elysium FC is my favorite soccer club π
Who has a switch???
My flatmate has one, should I buy games I want through their Nintendo account or make a new one
you can have multiple nintendo accounts on a switch so if you want you can buy them on your nintendo account then you can add them to your switch if you decide to buy your own.
but if you buy a game on a switch anyone on that switch can play it.
i think
Right now it's the worst time to buy a switch and that's because it's been leaked they are planning to release a new console this year
i call bs
why would you release a console 4 years after your last one which was a commercial and critical succes?
For more money...??
is it an upgraded switch or a new console?
ok that's believable
And will cost (if the leaks are to go by) around 400 euros
speak american
A lot of dollars
mmmmm
it's literally called a switch pro
like a iterated upgrade, they will still milk the switch
you mean they're gonna fix joycon drift and market it as the ultimate switch
nintendo is an old fox, not some random indie start up lul
honestly i don't see anything meaningful they can actually improve on with the switch
what're they gonna do? make its battery last longer? charge faster? look prettier? cost more?
i don't care about resolution tbh
I don't either, as long as it's at least 1080p though
but other people value resolution.
I mean both Xbox and PS are vying for 4k
cost more
also yeah, they will 100% make the the battery last longer, and patch up whatever security flaw there might be
they literally did this before
already made the battery last longer
i play older games so frequently that at this point i'm just immune to the effects of these fancy graphics and resolutions
like
hell give me a 2d 8bit from like 2004 i'm chill with that
at first i was kinda shocked at how low the resolution was for persona 4 on the ps2 emulator but you adjust to it pretty fast.
i'm gonna call it now
nintendo: it's the switch but slightly better and at twice the price
like half the switch users: hnnnng that's a good offer
i'm gonna say that's not gonna happen
alright then, people will complain it's a terrible offer and then still buy it.
look at pokemon swsh
you can't play a game before you buy it
demos exist but i get your point, fair point
there was a swsh demo?
no but generally games do have demos
that's how i decided i'm not playing immortals
tbh i don't try out demos enough
half the time they take an hour to download then you play em for 5 minutes then decide "whoops, this game is trash"
yeah usually i only get them if its a game i'm very interested in
like
idk i guess i need to try the little nightmares 2 demo at some point
What even does it even add
mod fight mod fight
you win this time...
ooo mod fight
sry i forced u to kill ur kalista

1075p 60fps that's how you improve your console
1075p
yeah, just that 1075p seems oddly specific I thought it was a joke of some sort
If you don't you are just milking money
Is it good on mobile
mobile and desktop pretty much feel the same
Nintendo is historically super scummy when it comes to hardware.
Nintendo is slowly burning all the good faith built for themselves during all these years
I think they've been working at that candle for years and now they're finally reaching the base.
Very soon they'll shut down the game they made where they threatened to sue a fangame and then stole the idea
Nice strawman.
I just found bastion again i'm glad i remember that game
good game
I canβt even play cuz Iβm babysitting
hmm, I should play steam version more
I only got 114/637 achieves
I play too much on other devices >.>
considering everything, it's the best time to buy a switch, if you don't want unnessesary improvements for twice as much
and while old ones are still in stock
idk about you people, but here it already costs two of mine monthly incomes, won't be able to handle four
already not able, but still
Oh youre using the Shurima board
Does it have special music?
The day has finally come.

i was uninstalling valorant because i don't play bad video games ||π|| and i noticed that riot vanguard was 14 gigs. i know it's a kernel software designed to take all of my information, but 14 gigs? little amogus reference.
Vanguard isn't 14GB. That sounds like Valorant itself.
Hmm. That might be a problem with your computer. Valorant and Vanguard isn't that big, like 8 to 10GB total last I installed it.
ONE HOUR
Then Dragalia Lostβs April Foolβs update is released.
Which are ALWAYS amazing
I canβt wait to see what it is~
if i suck at enter the gungeon, i shouldn't bother with binding of issac right
the emoticon sounds suspicious
like i can do Hades fine but i can't even clear enter the gungeon first boss
I find gungeon harder than isaac
so just buy and give it a try?
i've seen many ppl say it's great
so wondering if it lives up to the hype
isaac is easy its mostly about item knowledge
you get op fast and rip through the dungeon
i think Hades will be the first game i want and will get all the achievements
I canβt even imagine getting them all in Isaac
Thereβs 637 of them
Sounds much easier to get them all in Hades
Achievements in Hades are quite player friendly, no tedious ones like "die x times to y enemy" or "gather 100000000 Darkness" or something
That's true for all SGG games actually I seriously wish more games did that
I only use achievements to see how many people has finished the game :p
Or not playing the game for 5 years
Isaac is a lot less bullet hell compared to EtG. You have to dodge stuff, but that's like every game though.
Also you get OP builds more often and faster in Isaac also. Like there is one item called Brimstone that can solo carry your run most of the time with minimal requirements.
That said, bad runs in Isaac are torturous lol, but you can reset.
In term of bullet hell-iness, I would say Isaac is slightly higher than Hades, though not by much. What you need to fight sometimes though is the wonky physics. It doesn't happen often but when it does, ughhh.
I had all achievments in isaac once but then edmund kept dropping dlc so not anymore
I think almost all of them are just unlock x item?
That's some dedication.
I also so have all achievements. But that's because I loaded a fully unlocked file lol.
Repentance is the last DLC though
you guys use controller or kbm for isaac?
kb i mean, no mouse needed
kb unless Iβm on switch/phone
ok i'll give it a shot
thanks a lot for your breakdown
cause i can't do EtG at all.. hoping isaac is easier for me
One of us, one of us, one of us
I've reached endgame in MH Rise. Playing with randos have never been so relaxing
cause there's no one guy that hangs out in the camp while everybody else do the work
Enter The Gungeon is more like Bullet Heaven, tho :p
yeah I loved this game. finished the whole game with the lost which took forever
I used kbm
Last year on April 1st, Dragalia Lost launched a one-day event that included a pettable dog. The puppy returned today, making dog petting a permanent part of the game, along with more interactions like playing fetch. https://t.co/ADIjgn9JKy

Oh nice, finally some price drops for some Switch games, think I'll finally get Immortals Fenyx Rising, as it's 50% off...
Do it!
Itβs a fun game (plenty of dad jokes tho so beware if youβre not into that
)
Also has great DLC
I love dad jokes, so thanks for the info π

Oh, also!
Before you might get upset at the Ubisoft store - itβs really just cosmetics (besides the dlc) and you can get it just thru gameplay (though I wonβt say how)
|| grinding way too much?
||
||earning elektrum by doing special quests & such||
||huh, they're learning from past games||
||you basically buy it from Hermes instead||
I didn't play any ubisoft game apart from watch dogs and the crew so I wouldn't really know tbh
I like what theyβve done here
I even linked my Ubi account cuz they got special quests online
Like slay X monsters for rewards or participate in this quest where everyone who plays participates by doing whatever it is they want
Itβs just a nice extra reward for doing what Iβm already doing
you should always do that , so much free stuff you can get
Mhm
I was pleasantly surprised by IFR
I kinda love their take on the gods they have XD
Just for how itβs portrayed lol
yeah ubi games are unique
but the genres they've been taking interest in isn't fitting for me tbh, hence why I only liked Watch dogs series and barely the crew
and maybe that's why I'm obsessed with Cyberpunk 2077 now
I sometimes feel like Iβm the only person not remotely interested in that cyberpunk game
youβre not the only one! i never was interested in playing it, though i watched all the bugs when it came out :)
Nah, I've got zero desire to play it, either.
It's a pretty sterile FPRPG that absolutely fails to use its setting well. And like Maryam said, the bugs.
@digital fulcrum I figured today was the best time to tell you but ||Ultima (The Primals)|| is π π―
When are we doing Emerald Ex?
Is there any open World where the driving is primarily first person?
fair enough tbh
I can see many people not liking that game, bad launch, overhyping
many stuff
No I didnβt even know it existed until suddenly everyone was talking about bugs breaking the game

ahaha, me too as well
I only know it from that "breathtaking" memes
and then literally hearing all the delays about it
I donβt really do memes so
but I'm a weird person that somehow likes dark futuristic worldsetting so

and yes @dire condor , their usage of the Cyberpunk by Mike pondsmith ttrpg lore is somewhat lackluster
and in true cdpr fashion, half the content is hidden in the sidequests
And now that he's seeing that mention, I want to take the opportunity to tell him: β€οΈ
Isnt that true for most non-gta open world games?
Like Fallout
Or HZD
I haven't played that many open world games that resemble that style
but cdpr is the ones really really really known for it
that said, it's somewhat troubling a bit when you to open the map and see proxywordton of yellow cirlces
||how is my new pfp :)?||
It's certainly videogame-ish
Reminds me of that Transistor x Hades fanart I saw before...
By the way I'm digging YS VIII
I'm surprised the ||Serial killer|| subplot lasted so little
β€οΈ
also, never
didn't know charon could speak twitter urls :3
Charon got a bot to do that
Charon doesn't speak in that, Charon just hrrrrrs at the bot
this is charon's intern
ah
do they happen to be named sparrow?????
i can neither confirm nor deny
ah
Gerry did you eat breakfast? I don't think so
i'm eating breakfast right now :p
Good
Sounds like brunch at this time tbh
charon's intern would like to remind you that this is the video games channel, not the breakfast channel ;)
Horizon Zero Dawn is on sale as well... now I'm torn between that and Immortals Fenyx Rising... ugh... WHY NOW? I think this is the first sale Horizon is on, but they're both great deals and great games from what I heard...
Haha I'm too poor to buy games right now.
was it the one that was free a while back?
On PS it was I think and will be again, but def not on PC...
BUY HORIZON ZERO DAWN
HZD doesnt break new grounds in terms of open world mechanics and such, but it executed everything so well. Also the story and lore is interesting.
Oooh, I got lotta games to play on PS4 , but unfortunately it's not mine
Y...yes Master Chaos.
βοΈ
he doesn't command you to respond.. just buy it and say nothing man
I still can't get that edit of James Charles as Chaos out of my head
HEY SISTERS
I've heard lotta good talks about HZD
I'm new to open world mechanics anyway ;). I'm drawn to the idea of using a bow mostly, as it reminds me of... Katniss from Hunger Games somehow.
then youre in for a treat
Ok, it's decided then. Thanks for the help y'all π
it's a complete bundle with the dlc?
HZD has a very big problem tho
It makes you fight against humans too much
When the combat against humans is much less polished that against robots
in the fields when youre exploring its mostly robots though
if i remember correctly
Yes but the main quests specially in the second half is mostly humans
Yes, Complete Edition, with DLC included from what I can see (The Frozen Wilds)
that's great then, the dlc is pretty good
the one with Sonic's Yuji Naka helming it?
yea, archaic, clunky, etc is what i've read so far
how long can you play genshin impact before you kind of hit the gacha paywall? i've never played it before
HZD has an amazing story
Get both!
Theyβre on sale
Itβs a win win
now I'm even more interested
I finally got to play some HZD myself this week while babysitting (my brother has a ps4 & I was allowed to log in with my ps account & buy the game & play)
Iβve only played 5-6h, but itβs real fun, and Iβve watched a letβs play with the whole story & it was really incredible
They did very good on that front
only gripe i had with the game was the facial animations during dialogue, but other than that i really enjoyed the game
the character models themselves were really nice though, it was just the animation that took me out of the immersion
The dead eyes
do it! i don't play any open world games either, but hzd was a great time
and head bobbing lmao
hopefully in forbidden west it'll be better
Iβm so sad Iβll be going home again TT
haven't finished hzd yet though so i've been avoiding any forbidden west info
I don't even know what made me like cyberpunk 2077
Iβve waited 3 years to play
I guess I can wait some more now Iβve got a taste
maybe it was because of the worldsetting
Noted!
the story and characters were what i loved most about cyberpunk, i'm not a fan of fps games so i could take or leave the combat
yeah, world building of hzd and cyberpunk were cool
and what I like is it doesn't overdo it with pointless collectibles and tidbits scattered around the map as Assassin's Creed games.
story, characters, music, the city itself is so good
I don't even take this game as a shooter, I play blades only
fps's just aren't my thing
there was so much hype over cyberpunk that i low-key followed it out of curiosity
fps's just aren't my thing
THIS
Literally THIS
Well, thereβs not many guns in HZD
I would've never gotten myself into Cyberpunk if it weren't for the different playstyles outside of guns
i really loved those vignettes from hzd that you can find, they were very interesting to listen to
dont forget the photo mode either
no proxyword
I love that you should always go & look at everything just in case thereβs extra info there
I got such a pretty shot I used it as my whatever-itβs-called photo on ps
It was just perfect for it
Photo mode is
Photomodes is nice if the game can really show it off
really did a good job of worldbuilding, be it ||listening to those logs by a soldier left to his family or expositions by scientists about one of the AIs they were developing|| @steady otter
my past 10 hours of cp77 have all been picture taking
Mhmm
Or even just the tribes!
Iβm invested in the tribes
exactly, there was some cool info about them
Iβd play a game set in the world of HZD where Iβm just playing as a rando tribe member from any of them
Banuk farming simulator

feel like it'd be cool to play as someone who was there in ||the 2060s (i think that's when the robot war was going on in-game, i haven't played in a while), even as a dlc||
I really hope Forbidden West has better present-day writing than Zero Dawn.
Iβd love to play during ||the red raids||
wdym
like the writing didn't age well?
No.
It felt like all of the quality in terms of plot and dialogue and character writing went into all of the 2060s material, so everything in ZD's "present day" was pretty wooden or boring, barring Aloy.
So now that we've got the background established, I hope the worldbuilding and character work in Aloy's time gets more tike and attention.
I liked how it was presented
ahh okay. yeah i feel you, it def felt at times like the writers were more interested in ||the 2060s than the present||
Aloy wasnβt really interested in all that future present stuff, so to me it makes sense we didnβt focus too much on it or βflesh it outβ
One day my autocorrect might learn to recognize Aloy as a name
Maybe
and with all the teasing done in the game about ||forbidden west, fingers crossed we get a more expanded upon description of aloy's present||
Mhmm
in that game i mean
is it coming to pc at launch or is it going to be on playstation at the beginning?
i don't have a ps4 so i'm out of the loop about how sony times their launches
Iβll likely inherit my brothers ps4 once he eventually gets his hand on a 5
Whenever that might be
It's just PS5 at launch.
Hopefully my brother will have one by then so I can play it there when Iβm babysitting for him
I've become a big baby about playing on controllers whenever there's anything remotely like aiming, so I think I'm just gonna have to wait until it comes out on PC anyway.
If I can afford a new rig by that point.
Thanks, bitcoin miners.
man va-11 hall-a is really good
just wanted to say that somewhere without annoying people
I got sick this week and it's really helping as a distraction
i've seen the name censored (?) before, why is that?
well it's bringing up... Mature/squicky stuff a lot
Since you know dystopian bar and all
||Let π Us π Shoot π Ted π Faro π In π The π Face π||
For Horizon Forbidden West
favourite, he says
https://twitter.com/FenyxRising/status/1377645096196263936
it is Zeus
and that is how he views himself
and how he sees everyone else as viewing him
(That's the joke, yes.)
I still find hilarious they got Elias Toufexis to voice prometheus
Seeing Adam Jensen as a lanky sucker chained it's darkly funny
Well, that sucks. At least the clip sweetened the blow
i cant tell if this is a joke or not
it could be an april fools joke for all i know
but i want to believe ;w;
the ultimate troll is to post the actual date on 4/1
i smell silksong
I have a feeling it might be sooner, but they posted this date as a joke
we'll see though
i remember smoething about someone leaking pokemon detective pikachu but he posted it on 1st of april so nobody took it seriously. not sure if it's true but sure does make for a fun story
also plum where did you get that picture from-
my friend pulled it from twitter and put it in a groupchat
and i just needed to talk about it
like
send source
it might be real date on joke day but it could just be joke
yeah the server where i talk has seen nothing of this so i would expect it to be false
no
nothing there
if it was on the official TC twitter the server would've seen it
so yeah, best bet is to consider it false-
ahh yea im trying to find it to since my friend just posted the image
guess not
;w;
i swear it better not be like kh3
like idc about kh but that took soo long to come out
what's that idk about it
also i frankly don't mind
i know it's gonna be good
and i'm patient so
like, playing it any earlier is not gonna change anything--
i am also waiting for deltarune
deltarune, haven't heard that name in years
the game that wasn't even finished but Undertale fans loved regardless
it was a demo, and a good one! free too

?
