the japanese versions had dumb stuff like how sukiyaki (the third version) didnt even have all the non-special exclusives like pokemon third versions did (e.g. you can ONLY get slackoon in tempura, not in sukiyaki)

I played the first one, and I loved the art and atmosphere, but the ridiculous difficulty spikes ruined the experience for me; enough to not bother with the sequel. However, I'll just play on the lowest diff setting and enjoy that gorgeous art style and the atmosphere 🙂

Death resets put you pretty much back where you just were

Theres a charm system like Hollow Knight

The escape sequences are still a thing but are much shorter

if you like turn-based combat and roguelikes you will like Dicey Dungeons, Cave story+ and VVVVVV and both puzzle platformers i highly recommend

or you could just play through the rest of sgg, i've only played Hades but i've heard they are all good

Helltaker is good if you like demon waifus and 3 hours of gameplay. all for free.

Portal and Portal 2 are still in my top 20 favorite games of all time

The dreadful whispers is a platform puzzle game that is about 3 hours. it also has amazing visuals

You can download a ps2 emulator and play Persona 3 and 4, those are about 100 hours

Cuphead is hard but rewarding. everything i can say about cuphead has been said before though.

Persona4 is also on steam if you like playing things legally

Papers please has a rich story and very strange but engaging gameplay.

Hyper Light Drifter is similar to Hades, somewhat, kinda, not really.

Celeste is about 3 hours but has multiple possible paths. and a ton of replay value.

Undertale is story rich but gameplay wise is kinda boring imo

Superhot recently got a sequel, i like the original game more, Mind Control delete gets repetitive.

Spyro reignited and N-Sane trilogy are relatively cheap for how much content you get.

Lego star wars games are actually fire no joke

Stardew Valley is just better animal crossing

sure - the first... 1/3rd of the game is more of a modern military shooter (but with goofy aliens) than a serious sam game
but - not only they improved A LOT of things for that fusion release

but the pace of the whole thing (how they slowly introduce the more classic style of combat and what not) is a great way of introducing new players to the series

and that's a thing i tested myself - i played it with a buddy who was used to playing COD on a console, was new to " " "oldschool shooters" " " and playing on mouse and keyboard
so i convinced him to give SS3 a shot - seeing how that first military part would be somewhat familiar to him

and slowly, but surely, he kept getting better and better until he died only once (to a glitched werebull that got stuck on a rock ) in the last level
and he loved it and right after that we moved on to TFE and then TSE

so yeah - time heals all wounds, i guess
i used to hate SS3 but now i appreciate what it does for newcomers

What a tragic story of an horror franchise:

The first game was a great horror game with pretty scary elements that were complemented with great combat mechanics and lots of gorish imagery

The second was much more action oriented but had still some horror on it although you could start seeing they were losing a bit their vision.

The third one was considered a mockery of the original (although has its fans) with the horror elements much more downplayed and the creators foolishly focusing on the combat and a sloppily implemented co-op mode nobody asked for instead of the things that made the original game great and unique, all but killing the entire IP in the proccess.

They took all criticism of 1 to heart and improved upon them

and had enough to meet the player with core gameplay mechanics

90% of my TF games are attrittion lol

It also makes new players feel good and not being completely useless

without Iceborne's "claw" is rather rare to do that with other weapons

i own lance rarity 8 from rathalos tree but i cant really use it successfuly so might as well sell it..

trying out gunlance now...

and im totally "no" for switch axe, greatsword, and a horn

whenever a bossfight started and someone popped up like "Haha! I'm gonna stop you!" you could just...
turn around and leave

it is and it isn't
it's scarce if you're relying only on ammo pickups while having like... two or three guns max

but if you're specing for combat - and pick more weapons along the way - then you've got more guns to chose from during combat

also - pro tip

depends on your playstyle

but ones i can recommend are:

• icarus landing system
• CASIE
• better batteries (both recharge and capacity)
• stealth enhacements (they add some cool stuff like MGS-y cones of vision and what not)
• hacking (just do whatever - it's more of an investment since it will allow you to hack more stuff which equals to more xp and / or cash)
• eyes (only one or two levels are enough)
• and that thing that makes you dissappear - dunno what's it called

but all in all
CASIE is a must

not only it turns a great dialogue system into one of the best out there
but it also helps you to get more endings for questlines and alternate branches in dialogues - which lead to more cool stuff
