I'm like ...4.5 chapters deep? And to sum it up nicely, visual style is both blessing and a curse! Veeeery pretty, game looks absolutely stunning and with fixed camera game has it's also very cinematic, but it does create few problems, camera is positioned too low in combat in my opinion, sometimes it's hard to read if enemy is placed in foreground where you fight on background, lighting does provide that problem too. Platformic sections suffer from fixed camera, hard to spot a lone tiny pole to swing off or spot to nab a pickaxe on in dark areas
Combat is...okay, and I dunno if that is intentional because game is about AI inside human body or not, but your movement does feel sluggish and very delayed

Vibes are peak dare I say, perhaps I wanted a bit more neon-y cyberpunk (maybe it's later on) but the post-apocalypse wasteland and ruined city I encountered so far were nice too. Writing is nothing special, I mean you can tell right off the start game is about AI learning all the human stuff and probably ending up realizing it did plenty of bad stuff. You land in a town where there is bit of a power conflict and rest is just "here is a bad gang, deal with them to help us" thingie

Game has some good lore though, it's alternate history from 1945's but has some real stuff like how Phoenix Corp is behind Kennedy assassination or Watergate scandal while in their rise for power
So in short, audiovisuals peak, vibes are nice, combat and platformer bits mediocre
But I dunno if I even beat half of it so ya know, this is more of a "first impression"

You complete it? I don’t know if this is obvious, but there are some interesting notes about the DLC ending (once you have seen it of course). ||You can’t complete the DLC with a true game over, which means that the DLC doesn’t happen outside of the Ash Twin project, meaning it never ‘actually’ happens. If you try to complete the DLC after terminating the Ash Twin project, a specific step will immediately give you a game over screen describing a different outcome. In my opinion this muddies the situation at the end of the DLC, but that isn’t really important as the DLC ending can’t be ‘real’ alongside the main ending anyways.|| Still, make sure to redo the main game ending after completing the DLC.

I think the issue with cyberpunk is mostly that the plot doesn't do enough with the setting it's in whereas the side stuff sometimes does way more interesting things, like the politician who is being brainwashed by the tech of that world where you have to decide whether it's better to make him paranoid by telling him the truth or whether it is better to leave him be and such
Those are more interesting choices and parts of the world than a lot of the main plot

So basically Capcom couldnt deliver RE2 on time so to quench the RE thirst they made Director's Cut. And Replaced the soundtrack with a "composer" that supossedly was "deaf", he was known as Japan's Beethoven. In 2014 he was found to not be a composer and NOT deaf
