They're both struggling with grief and loss, Lune ties herself to a ruleset out of it, obsesses over scenarios and plans, while Gustave obsesses over the one person who might still be alive.||

That being said I do find that ending frustrating in a sense that ||it repeats how Maelle got away again with hypocrisy, in a way that is realistic but nonetheless annoying from a narrative angle. First she's the one who insisted on coming on the expedition despite being young, but when Gustave dies and everyone else tried to go on, she turns around to lash out at Lune and Sciel like "Don't you see so much death around you!" Like lady you signed up for Operation Go And Die against your family's advice and now you're complaining that people die, without showing an ounce of self-reflection?||
||And nobody in the party calls her out for that, which is accurate - she's the youngest and just experienced loss, so of course the adults won't want to call her out at that moment and make the situation worse. But this still means that Maelle is never made to reflect on this, on her own volition or otherwise||
Then in postgame ||she removes Alicia without asking Verso first - which could have been a good character moment, where she learns that sometimes people want to die, and it's a good thing to let them have a say in this. But then in the ending she undoes this by keeping Verso alive against his own wishes. So it's like my annoyance with Gustave - the moral compass is just "the most justified action is the one that I want more. Allowing someone to die is right if they want it, unless I want otherwise, then it's wrong". And again she isn't made to confront having this double standard because nobody dares to, and the story's ended anyway||

but this remaster made just a few, really, really smart changes for it to go from "alright" to "pretty freakin awesome" in my mind

vanilla q2 is a cakewalk
but this remaster improves the pathfinding and restores scrapped enemy attacks and it all just flows really well

Played it and I can definitely confirm that, though it was shocking at first when that gladiator? enemy did a shock jump for the first time. But yeah the game does improve attacks and implements better balance

Capcom Should continue the more mature X series instead of keep reviving classic megaman, He was revived with Megaman 9, then got a sequel and finally megaman 11 and nothing came out of 11.

Well thats because Metroid as franchise has been surpassed already
this is something metroid fans and nintendo refuse to acknowledge. The last Metroid game was Fusion in GBA in 2004
and for 59.99 you could get far better metroidvania games
heck, Megaman franchises offers you a way better deal with the many collections
Classic megaman, X megaman series, Zero/ZX series, Battle network series (The best collection so far since these are JRPG with a UNIQUE combat system that no one wants to replicate)
Star force collection next year and we only missing Legends aka the ZELDA megaman games
too bad the control is terrible, you can adapt to it but Ocarina of time already perfected this control scheeme and Capcom just wanted to be different and kind of failed, But I still recommend Legends 1 and 2 oh and this game are more difficult than Any zelda game, but don't know if in this case is a PLUS or a con.

Getting down attacks and other missed directional inputs.
I went "I wonder if the game will recognize both inputs simultaneously," and it did.
Hollow Knight is fully seamless, actually incredible. Silksong is seamless during gameplay but during menus I need to double-press buttons on the controller if I've just used the keyboard.
I could probably get a custom PS controller with separate buttons for its D-Pad, those have been a thing for a very long time.

it's crazy how much more difficult the last level is compared to the first 5
first 3 took me like 30 minutes each, 4th and 5th took me like an hour
no end in sight for the 6th

Nero DMC 4 at the very least he faces Dante at the start and in the middle and we get to play as dante for most of the 2nd half but that game is an incomplete mess and Nero is decent, Savage and brutal, this is how you do it but I will go into this another time.
Bayonetta 3 tried that Viola, disaster. Team Ninja did it with Yaiba and killed the franchise and now NG 4 tried that with Yakumo which is by far the worse one, at least Yaiba was Unhinged and had a personality
