I don't know why, but 2 mask attacks that spread their damage across two hits of seemingly the same attack animation tilts me super hard.

The ||spat-out drills|| hitting for 2 makes me rage. Contact damage for 2 masks instantly doesn't phase me.

1 - you are now breathing manually

God that skill was such a crapshoot

Man - melee-only krieg was such a rollercoaster of emotions

It’s like - you’re leveling up, unlocking a whole bunch of new and fun skills, you feel unstoppable, then do that thing that lets you morph at low health

Just laying waste to everything, don’t even have to pick up any guns anymore

Pain is Power is straight up unusable, period

You’ve just dumped normal + tvhm worth of points into nothing but melee damage only to have a 33% chance of being on the receiving end of it

It was fun for a while in this unpredictable kind of way, but for uvhm and above - don’t bother

The thing about Krieg is that, while he's been made with UVHM in mind (his damage actually does scale well), either you go for a melee build or you just don't use his action skill at all

He's pretty much the definition of high risk high reward

And he's also the grenade guy, next to Axton, being the splash damage guy, they can do similar things with a different approach

also there's the fact that from UVHM onwards enemy health and damage scales in such a ridiculous way that you baiscally have to use some finaly tuned meta builds figured out by other people

two small charms I recommend for trial of the fool are steady body and nailmaster's glory. Steady body will help you not fall into spikes as often and nailmaster's is just good bc you can use nail arts to immediately take out some enemies as they spawn
