My tactic for my current project is this
I’ve got everything on an ssd I keep working on
I store two main files (the current build and a .pk3 archive with all currently used assets) on that ssd and sync it up with a google drive
And then I make backups of everything and all the work in progress assets and other junk on a portable hdd
So that’s three different types of storage for three different kind of packups
If one craps out then I can still make do with other two

and now every time steam boots it craps out an error

well im not joking when i say the installation is simple because it used to be this elaborate thing that you actually need a mod manager for and now its as simple as opening the mod zip and putting the content in the game directory
at most it also requires creating a folder
for a while i was unclear where the main directory or game directory or whatever you call it was but then i realized its just where the game is no other folders needed
maybe its obvious but the name just confused me but if you right click a game on steam and browse local files its as simple as that

The biggest problem with this statement is that while you would pay that price for the content which is worth it a bunch of other people like the people who complained would not buy it so then it’s like is that better or worse

It's been a minute since I did it, but iirc the whole gimmick is it heals whenever it rolls over an enemy (while nearish to the player)
So you have to avoid starting the fight until you have enough weapons to kill it quickly/clear the waves before it rolls over them
At least that's what I did

Buff your damage quickly and then go fight it, I'd say no later than 7-8 minutes or else the ball will be so massive it just won't go down at all
Trust me, I tried that when the ball was like twice as big as the phone screen and that did NOT go well

Idk if anyone here is a soulslike fan. I just finished AI Limit. Really solid game that I don't understand how it gets the disrespect it does from a lot of people. It had the unfortunate reality of having its release date being close to Khazan is the only thing I can think of.

my 2 cents on the 70 dollar games thing is that its increasingly harder for me to justify the rising cost of games when we're in an era where games frequently release in poor states. literally no one is denying that games are expensive to make, and get more so. but there is also a case to be made that a lot of the costs tend to be frivolously spent in certain triple a titles/studios/etc. so like. idk imo the discussion is way more nuanced than "dont buy 70 dollar games" and "games are expensive"
80 entire dollars for MARIO KART definitely falls into way too much camp for me though 😭 i like me some mario kart but sheesh. gaming is gonna start turning into a luxury hobby with everything else going up too
