Standard chalice are not randomized. It's always the same bosses same loot. You gotta beat it to get root chalice.
Root is randomized and can let you access weapons that unlock way later(though if you're doing chalices it's prob not faster than regular game progress). You can input code to get into other ppls generated root chalice to find specific stuff
There's a list of notable codes on wiki iirc
Anyway you like pain so you should know the most painful fights in the game are in the deepest chalices

so there's different guns in this mod, different mags and different ammo types
and you can mix and match them in your mag manager (putting in one bullet at a time into each mag, carefully so that they don't explode in your hands) as long as the calliber fits
there is - however - one fancy ass sci-fi rifle that has this sort of holographic readout of your mag
shows you how many rounds you have left
but this absolute diva of a rifle has a DRM that makes it accept only one, original type of mag and ammo
so it won't work with your other mags you filled by hand
but then when reloading you can just force this mag inside
just shove it in
while swearing at it (yes - that is an in-game mechanic )
but doing that will break the readout and it will start showing you random numbers like 564897453678654 so you won't know how many rounds you have left

If I already had a PS5 i would likely just stay with the base model but I figured I am paying around 500 for the base and the pro would be 700 so I don’t mind spending the extra 200. Terraria Calamity mod was great 🙂 finally made it to the end. The last few bosses were really enjoyable.
I got stuck a few times and had to adjust some settings to make it to the end but it was still lots of fun.

That's what I would do. It comes with 2tb vs 1tb which is really 670gb. Ssds aren't cheap either so that makes it even closer in cost

If you think "This is a bomb. I'm going to place a flag here." and get a number instead, you have lost. Why? In normal Minesweeper, you would have placed a flag there and not got told you did wrong, but shortly after, trusting that flag to be a bomb spot, would cause you to go boom on a later click. This is a small compromise to lacking flags.
Some players do play hard mode, and will avoid clicking the bomb spots entirely, and just remember what they have clicked. I applaud them. That's above my intrest level.
