some dude just got a bunch of disjointed mods that add postprocessing, upscaled textures, crappy 3d models and so on and slapped them together into a barely-working, ungly mess

of course the press saw that and they all went "yo doom got a fan remake" and what not

and at one point it was being distributed (and apparently - even sold) including original IWADs
which are the OG doom files that contain all the original assets and maps made by idsoftware

which is the biggest no-no you can commit in the doom modding community

so the dude took it down, repackaged it and uploaded it again
and this is the result

OH MY GOD split second works on this thing flawlessly

the best arcade racer that you can't even buy anymore
steam deck said it was flat out "unsupported", not even untested but just a straight up

i downloaded it anyway
and it runs like a dream

looks as good as this game ever did

and since it's a 12 years old 30 fps game - it just sips power (30% of batter was supposed to last me for almost 3 hours of gameplay, maybe more if you include time spend in menu and what not)

the only downside being it's not giving me console button prompts - that's it

I really enjoyed Zero Dawn.

I understand its issues, but did not find robot dinosaurs uninteresting at all.

They really need to work on the characters, though. Haven't played Forbidden West, I'm sure the send-off for Sylens is going to be painful and awkward.

And Bloodborne is never getting rereleased, some jerk at Sony is going to sit on that until the biosphere goes up in flames (kinda like in Horizon!).

I try to avoid playing games according to FOMO. I'm just not a fan of any major team sport, so none of the video games appeal to me.

I don't like either kind of football, why would I play Madden or FIFA?

But CoD scratched a wonderful PVP itch for me for a long time.

The last one I played was Infinite Warfare (two releases before the massacre) and nothing has quite filled that niche in my gaming since.

It's like uuuuh Splatoon sort of, but with cars!

Also reminds me of Qix a little bit

You can also like, run over tracks that block other cars off and keeps some parts of the map painted for you
