The Titanfall 2 Gauntlet took me forever! One very useful trick I learned was to enter The Gauntlet already wall-running before the start line. The highest difficulty surprisingly wasn't too bad (given I'm bad at FPS): one can skip a lot of combat encounters, including a very big one via a glitch/oversight: ||the dome||

its subjective of course, but personally the most satisfying way to go through the game blind is to be as scummy as possible. use throwing knives to bring enemies to you, rather than on their turf. fire bombs kills everything early game. stuff like that

when you find new weapon arts try spamming it big guys that have lots of hp and see if its nice for staggering

oh yeah, this unseen stagger gauge goes down slowly when theyre not being hit, just like the poison buildups. so gotta take all the opportunities. bait the into doing stuff that gives you openings

if they like to jump away, you can keep the stagger gauge up by plinking them with throwing knife

Looking good! I wish I had the nerve to carry on Elden Ring but I suck at these games 😅 but Elden Ring is good because you can just go off and do your own thing and then come back and defeat the bosses. Like, I never sweated and shook so hard after I beat the Beastman of Farum Azula.

yeah bleed is very strong. the samurai class starts with bleed weapon. what i'd recommend to make the game easy though, is to just pump all your stats into hp

i mean, you cant learn enemy patterns if they kill you in 1 hit

try to find the best shields you can

hold up shield and walk up in their face and after a while you'll learn that, theres like just 2 kinds of attacks

fast ones that you cant really dodge. blocking works wonders

or ones where they do a slow windup then a big swing. these you cant realy block but you can get away

and then theres grab attacks which is pretty much the same kind as the second

never fight the enemy in their turf. make them come to you. use those throwing knives they are really cheap so bring loads @analog wraith

Game Informer, the longest-running gaming magazine in the U.S., is officially dead and GameStop killed it. It began publishing in 1991 and has been one of the last remaining physical gaming magazines in the world, with cover stories that continued to share deep dives and exclusive interviews on the biggest games coming out, from Final Fantasy: VII Rebirth to Star Wars Outlaws. No more.

Staff at the magazine, which also publishes a website, weekly podcast, and online video documentaries about game studios and developers, were all called into a meeting on Friday with parent company GameStop’s VP of HR. In it they were told the publication was closing immediately, they were all laid off, and would begin receiving severance terms. At least one staffer was in the middle of a work trip when the team was told. The sudden closure of Game Informer means that issue number 367, the outlet’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard cover story, will be its last.

The Game Informer Twitter account posted the following statement online today, but sources tell Kotaku it was not written by anyone on the team, which was still in the process of making sure everyone on staff was informed about the news:

Game Informer was purchased by GameStop along with its previous owner, gaming retail competitor FuncoLand, in 2000. In the days before online gaming blogs and YouTube channels were ubiquitous, thumbing through the pages of Game Informer was the main way many players experienced the world of games beyond whatever few they and their friends owned.

In recent years, however, as GameStop has spiraled following the collapse of physical game sales, the massive corporation became an albatross around Game Informer’s neck, weighing it down with clueless middle-managers and contradictory and ever-shifting directives. Despite its meme stock explosion, which has netted it billions in the bank, GameStop has continued cutting jobs across its business, including nearly annual rounds of layoffs at Game Informer.

i'm finding that fighting games have a similar gameplay appeal as roguelites, where there's a lot of failing but the reward is seeing your gradual progression as you get better. if you want to get into fighting games, SF6 on sale is a pretty solid place to start. the singleplayer mode alone gives you like 30 hours of content and it's very beginner friendly

they grinded me down to parmesan levels

hey ive only played hades for roguelikes
is dead cells similar to hades 1 or 2 in difficulty? im looking around for other roguelikes to play (or roguelite)

Dead Cells is a bit more skill focused, but instead of a hack & slash, it's a metroidvania

Great game as well, has a custom mode and you can modulate the difficulty to your liking (though most people will advise against that, as the difficulty is part of the fun in Dead Cells)

I'm not keen on people who gatekeep how difficult a game should be. If a developer implements a difficulty slider in your game, then by all means use it as it was their intention to include it.
