there's an entire, separate mode that's built around the storm drain scene from T2
there's one track on which you can blow up a skyscraper making it fall down on a track and then jump off of it's burning remains and take the race to the rooftops of nearby buildings
there's one track that can change it's shape like 5 times due to explosions
you can blow up a docked ship, jump on top of it and then use it to jump on top of an actual carrier and zig-zag between fighter jets sliding down the ramp
there's a different track in which you can cause a nuclear disaster
another one with a dam... which you can blow up and then race through it

You should be able to use sound to help keep track of the second enemy

my biggest problem is those huge shield knights keep going after me when im standing still summoning solaire

Roll off the stairs so they jump off and have to walk back up

1 - screw solaire
summons might be useful, but to offset the decrease in difficulty they bring, the game increases bosses healthbars
so in this case - it increases TWO health bars
it's just not worth it
2 - screw the lock on
just raw-dog this fight
3 - focus on pikatchu first
snorlax is way easier in his second phase
4 - keep medium distance
big enough to stay away from normal attacks, but short enough to not bait pikatchu's dash attack (which is kinda janky in the remaster)
and 5 - use those pillars
A LOT
even when they're destroyed - as long as that one remaining bit is their way - use it

and that's about it

fear in general has some 😗👌 guns

despite them looking quite simple and being animated like...

well - they're not first person models, they're third person models glued to a screen
so they've got some simplified animations and such

but still
the pistol is good, dual pistols are... twice as good
the SGM feels great, the shotgun is legendary, the penetrator pins enemies to walls and ceilings
the rifle is... alright, i guess - it gets the job done
the particle lance (or whatever it's called) is ridiculous
and it has a burst-firing rocket launcher

all of which you can enjoy in this glorious slow motion

oh and also - one of the coolest intro sequences ever made

it's one of the most creative, fun, challenging racing games ever made

also - the thing i like about driver SF is that...
there isn't much straight up racing in this racing game

9/10 times story missions are just...

EVERYONE is just... tired

borderline depressed

like - you know right from the start that they don't have a chance at winning this
this won't end well

all they can do is to fight to see another day in this hellhole and you're never sure just how long they can keep at it until they crack

I love when you're fighting the gigantic robot and the ||former Nazi|| is absolutely just spouting American stereotype nonsense to cheer you on

all the characters there are just so well rounded

like - this game at it's core is still a first person shooter that tries to channel the vibes of nineties FPS games
so you wouldn't expect there to be much in terms of writing

It's so weird that in a boisterous FPS even the women are just that: women

if this truly was a nineties shooter it would portray Max as this "haha funny dumb strong guy that knows only one word" stereotype

you know - your groots, your hodors - whatever

but instead of doing that, TNO actually portrays Max with respect and depth required to explain mental issues

and it does a really good job at that too

it even has two sex scenes that somehow feel more genuine than anything mass effect ever did

this game basically starts the same way any other wolfenstein shooter starts?

ok, so
think about the first level of most wolfenstein
what do you see?

blazko breaking out of his cell by stabbing a nazi and taking his gun
that's how it started in 1992, that's how the second-best wolf game started in 2000, and that's how TNO starts proper too

you wake up ||after that prologue, mind you||, stab a dude, take his gun and off you go

the only difference being that this time around your cell isn't made out of stone
it's a wheelchair

this game never got full polish VA
it just got subs here

but you start in poland and they speak proper polish

and it just shows how dedicated machine games were to making this feel authentic and respectful to the source material
because not only this some of the best polish VA i've ever heard in a videogame (im talking about anya's grandparents here)
but they even researched how old people talked back then and made sure to include all the little quirks of the language in their dialogues
