Yesterday I got stuck on two fights

Each one of them was like 3 minutes long tops

And each one of them took me 40 minutes of retrying to crack

And I survived the last one only because Gianni despawned for some reason

it went so above and beyond even my wildest expectations it's even hard for me to describe with my limited english vocabulary

and it's even more impressive when you consider the tech it's running on

i've been mapping and modding for 8 years now
i should know this stuff and recognize it at a first glance

but every time i boot up selaco - even in the main menu
my mind just goes
oh yeah it's a completely different game

just today at the end of a firefight i was running low on health
i heard one dude going "i think she's bleeding!" and he rushed me

i was hiding behind cover so i grabbed my shotgun, jumped out of cover and blasted him

poor dude went everywhere

splettered all over the floor, walls and the ceiling

at the end of the fight i noticed a little vac-bot trying to clean all this mess up

and then i noticed that...
every time it cleaned up a messy spot on the floor...

a little bit of gore would drip down from all the guts stuck to the ceiling and splatter on the floor

and after a few second that little roomba vac-bot made a sick face like

and he's probably gonna end up stuck there - cleaning this mess up forever

that's how intricate this whole thing is

AND IT'S RUNNING ON GZDOOM WTF

good thing all those aliens bleed pink - otherwise i wouldn't be able to post anything here

this... freaking game
even counts calorie intake of every single individual piece of food you consume for mere +1hp

every slice of pizza, every bite of a burger
every can of soda (which you have to use twice - one for the tab and the other one to chug - and every one comes with a fresh new voxel model)
even every single piece of grenade-exploded watermelon you consume
is tracked and counted in the stats screen

you can play pool, you can play darts, you can play an arcade shoot-em-up, you can play cookie clicker on your objective screen
there's a fast travel system, resi-styled saferooms
you can even shoot a fish tank and watch the water slowly spill out through the bullet hole - but only to that level
and when you break it you can grab a fish from inside and quickly run to the bathroom and flush it down the toilet to save it from drowning

this thing
is absolutely insane

Sehlly from Ion Fury is one of my fave female protags ever and sadly Dawn doesn't stack up

there ain't much of a story to her

but then again - maybe there's more in data logs and such
