I got Cyberpunk after they released the 1.6 update (conveniently timed to coincide with Edgerunners being celebrated in the media)
It's still a little janky but it's very playable.

I don't think there is any value in buying games on release anyway. They keep rushing development to meet arbitrary release windows, so a lot of games end up shipping in a kind of rough state.
I think it's best to give any given game a couple of months to mature out in the world before buying it.

Answering this question just goes down a rabbit hole I'm not going to legitimize here. I don't watch or particularly care about the Game Awards, but they played a huge role in the launches of both Hades and now Hades 2, and that is an indisputable positive. I'll never forget both moments, and the part in Developing Hell chronicling the former is just awesome to watch. If you want to intimate that there's a vast videogaming journalist conspiracy at play here, there are many outlets full of folks who will agree with you wholeheartedly. Everyone else is just sick to death of the endless Internet war about this particular video game.

i used the cracked eye to invade and i came across this dude just... fighting for his life
in that place with a little extra firekeeper soul
he was running away from like 6 dogs, getting shot at with toxic darts from three different places at the same time

so i went after him, hit him like two times and took a step back

and poor guy could barely lift that weapon - his character was doing the "oh no my weapon is too heavy" animation

after which he turned around and tried to roll onto that spinning escalator thingy
slipped
and with like... 10% HP left just went WHAM
all the way down to the swamp

i actually feel bad for that dude
he was having a rough time and i made it worse

Just finished The Forgotten City based on SGG curator on steam, really liked that game, a bit short but with multiple endings and some great plot twists and an interesting take on mythology

would recommend it altough it is a bit pricey I would say for the content so maybe wait for a discount if someone wants to get it
