in other words, it replaces his belt with one of those spiky belts

It may seem daunting, but doing a few TD3 runs will make you faster in general

Also, try taking as many Shops, Exclamation Rooms, Chaos Gates, and Miniboss Rooms as you can

Those are all way faster than normal rooms

so almost always does not

also if you want to save more time, em2 makes hydra fight significantly faster (though a bit harder), tight deadline removes the survival rooms which add 45 seconds

plus forced overtime which makes enemies spawn in faster which can save a minute or two, but also makes it a lot harder

another thing that helped me was planning to use builds which were actively good on the weapon

ie you did a cast build with an aspect that has basically no bonuses for casts

For Dem Fists, it's Merciful End (Ares/Athena) you want to go for, for instance.

My first 1 Heat run clear on blade, found it surprisingly effortless with the Stygian lightning, healing blender! Coupled with Athena's call being charged up at insane rate thanks to Zeus's God Gauge boon, it was a pretty wild ride. (Must have used call like 4 or 5 times in final battle) Oh, it was a Poseidon aspect but game plan changed when I got Flurry of Blades

I'm starting to see synergies, build duos (had an insane chaos aspect shield run with zeus/poseiden duo) and my skills are improving, so here's to hoping I can go down many many more heat levels
