Well, I wasn't really trying before: I always looked really carefully for Urns and such

#

And almost always did Infernal Troves, and cleared out Styx, etc.

#

Plus my planned build worked out pretty well, using Raging Rush to zip across the map super-fast

#

I also ended up laying the groundwork pretty well by dying to Hades on my last attempt with this weapon and Heat, thus setting up post-boss healing boosts through Dark Regeneration.

#

Been a while since I had time to play, but I got an amazing win with the fists. Honestly there were just too many good boons that I don't think I could have managed to lose unless I tried. And yet, until I got to Hades I was almost certain it was just a run waiting to get destroyed. And then I didn't even use a DD on him lol.

It's been a while since I did this, but this was a nuts enough build that I had to share it: Simply put, the Gods loved me, Chaos loved me, and Hermes was at least ambivalent. 5 Duo Boons acquired (and in hindsight I realize that I had the wrong set-up to get the Artemis-Athena one), with the Extra Cast and Cast Damage from Chaos combining exquisitely with Fully Loaded, Parting Shot, and Mirage Shot. That Epic Blinding Flash then had me see cast-damage numbers in the 3.3-3.8k range depending on how lucky I was with Pressure Point Procs (Heartrend, Baby!!!). 1/3

Everything in that run synergized ridiculously well. A single Cast fired two shots, which dealt massive damage and knocked everything back, causing them to be hit with lightning. After 2.5 seconds the Bloodstone falls out of enemies, where they proceed to strike everything nearby with lightning. And every single time I just mentioned lightning, that fires an electric bolt. Oh, and there's a chance of the lightning firing twice

AND THAT WAS JUST THE CAST

#

My God Gauge also charged really fast, and Poseidon's Aid makes you invincible and causes a massive amount of knockback (more lightning, more bolts).

#

And all the lightning has a massively increased AoE

#

Meanwhile my Spin Attack charges up super-fast, deflects everything, heals me, Exposes enemies, and deals more damage with the aforementioned deflection

#

My Special pierces, causes lightning to strike (more lightning, more bolts), has AoE, and can be charged for even more damage and range

#

And I had Divine Protection, the best Boon in the game (in my opinion). I didn't even take a hit in the entire Hades fight, and I cannot ascribe that to skill alone.

what a thrilling run, first attempt of heat 8, was really struggling for time & damage until I hit elysium and found merciful end & charged shot, after that it was a sweep - didn't pop acorn against hades which was also a really nice feeling | 9 streak with chaos shield, it is my boiii

Yes! New personal best for time on 16h EM4!

Using Athena and Stubborn Defiance to get that extra DD when I was in Styx really sealed the deal and let me DPS-race Hades even after getting 5-sacked.

Only way I see this going more quickly is if I'd gotten 2 or 3 more dashes instead of just +1, or just not gotten 5-sacked.
