So you do have at least a full 20 minutes with TD3, or 28 or 36 depending on your level

If you go over at any point you don’t lose, you start taking 5 damage a second

So you can still make it to the next region just fine

I forgot to equip demeters keepsake in both elysium and Styx 😭 😭

I mainly use Rama for the special, it melts if you get Zeus on the special and then occasionally crit with artemis on the attack or get aphrodite on attack to unlock smoldering air, Tidal Dash and Zeus's aid and you are set to improve your speed.

I haven't really tried speed running the game yet but if I do try it I would go with this build.

Personally I prefer getting Artemis attack and dodge, Aphrodite special, heart rend and either twin or triple shot. Not fully optimal but it’s really fun

Tried to get tidal dash and consequently get mirage shot but aphrodite showed up and I though.. huh heart rend+smoldering air also sounds good, so I got passion dash instead. This was a test run for my first 32 heat run and this set up seems pretty good if I replace lightning rod with smtg else.

Tried to get as many good duos as possible but should've went for tidal dash instead of passion dash and got the combo of mirage shot+sea storm instead of heart rend+smoldering air.

for all the other swords it doesn’t push your damage higher, and it can easily take you into one or two-shot range while playing with heat, while promoting you use a worse, more dangerous form of dps (standing striking)

the problem with divine dash is that phalanx shot is an S tier cast that also gives me deflect, and if I already have a great source of deflect it devalues divine dash massively

I'd say divine dash is still the second best dash though, all the other dashes feel like very minor power boosts most of the time

drunken dash - bad weak source of hangover

lightning dash - very minor damage unless you build for it and then it becomes decent

passion dash - this is good if I have literally no other source of weak, but aphrodite is often really strong on weapons' special/attack (or cast if I'm using beowulf) and there is absolutely zero value to having redundant sources of weak

artemis dash - this can be pretty decent depending on what weapon you're using but it doesn't build into anything which sucks

ares dash - for some reason I can't build this with a lot of strong boons that buff his spinning blade boons, idk why but that sucks

POSEIDON DASH - OBLITERATE LITERALLY EVERYTHING IN A ROOM INSTANTANEOUSLY

Phalanx shot can’t fit on every build though and you aren’t going out of your way to grab it otherwise

not always, although vast majority of the time phalanx shot or festive fog is my cast of choice

because they're insanely strong right out of the box and become even stronger if you build them

whereas most other casts are mid or suck if you don't build for them (Ares cast qq) in most cases

unless I'm doing a cast build with cast-based weapons phalanx shot or festive fog is basically always by casts of cuoice

and phalanx shot is still always my cast of choice with poseidon aspect

Ares cast is such an upsetting boon lol, it's reeeeally good with engulfing vortex and hunting blades but otherwise it's pretty terrible and getting hunting blades is very iffy with all the boon prerequisites even if you're trying as hard as possible to get it

there's no "dash" builds other than like dash only builds, but at that point you can only use tdash anyways

also some speedrunners unironically take blade dash as a sub for tdash bc it is actually decent damage

lightning dash also not bad if you get other supporting boons

if you get call afterwards then it'll start of stronger if you got the supporting boons before too

also fyi you don’t have to actually get your heat up to 8/16/32. even if your highest heat achieved is like 3, you can add a bunch of heat and it’ll still work for the statues

ahhh gotcha. i’d say go for achilles for next spear unlock, fully maxed is great. just double tap your special and then spam a few dash attacks, repeat. throw casts in right after your special once you got cast upgraded

the 3 statues covered in the room with your weapons is locked by completing 8/16/32 heat, but you don’t have to complete 1 through 8 to uncover the statue. you can just immediately do level 8, then 16, then 32 if you wanted. not climb one heat at a time.
