Unless the build really requires a specific call to create a broken interaction, Ares' Aid is good with every build, every weapon, and is simply incredible. idk if it could help with patterns and positioning, but for Asterius on melee, you try to stay behind one of his shoulders at all times (even after he phased because of shockwaves) without being too close when he jumps and be aware of early pillars collisions. Example with Long : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1536393045 (FO0 standard EM3 though. FO2 dash management with the jump attacks is a bit different and aggressive)

He also have 3 main combos which are starting with 2swipes :

• 1st has 3 jump attacks as followups,
• 2nd has 1 jump and 2 swipes after a shorter delay (to be expected if he jumps only once),
• 3rd is the "crescent attack" which is basically a bait waiting for you to get super close to put his axe down on you
