You just need ||a good Athena boon and something that lets you get him from afar. Shield isn't the best here as it forces you to stay still often, I prefer chiron bow or varatha, plus hidden aspect of stygius||

Varatha with length increase gives you the functional distance of the bow with twice the speed and power per strike plus teleport, which is insanely useful for that fight

Leaving the spear and teleporting to it later to backstrike the mini boss is a decent strategy to dodge the orb bullet hell

You can't deflect the waves. If you want to evade them, you'll need to empty-dash.

As in, not a Dash-Strike.

Zag is invincible during dashes, but that goes away if you press Attack or anything.

So you'll want to dash through them, not away.

Triple Shot gives you burst damage potential from point-blank without hurting your range otherwise.

Right. The most effective range for base bow is around max Twin Shot range anyway.

Trying to shoot only from long range with the bow can put you in trouble because enemies are coming straight at you. Around mid range, you can bait out attacks from them, then dash away and charge a Power Shot while they whiff the attack and pause for a moment to recover from it.

Nope. But using the codex to look at boon requirements (if you've unlocked it) or the graphs on the wiki can help a lot if you haven't internalized all of that yet.

Wiki also has good info on all the boons. I used to use it a lot during early access to theorize new builds or optimizations.

You'll need Gemstones for Work Orders (later ones will require Diamonds instead), those will help a lot in your runs. And you'll also need Gemstones for some other renovations that you'll need for story stuff. But anything else is just cosmetic. Only enemy i find painful in Styx is that big satyr boss that shoots his poisoned needles like a machinegun

If my build doesnt allow me to brutally end him in a few seconds and i don't have athena dodge, i usually end up getting hit a few times

I always end up getting the sack on my 2nd-3rd room

I always avoid the boss rooms if I can

I have a few questions:
Q1. What's the most dmging cast in this game? (without it being rift blade and crystal)

Q2. There's a duo that says ''Crit chance when you deflect'', something along those lines. Does that mean i actually have to deflect a projectile, or any enemy hit by a athena cast/attack/special will proc the boon?

Q3. Is Crit chance additive from multiple sources?

Q3: crit chance is additive yeah (and for the matter, crit dmg is multiplicative)

Hmm Poseidon cast can also be considered if you have hidden shield ig
Same for the other 2

Hera + crush shot is a easy solid build but if you only want "highest dmg" is probably hidden shield + trippy shot

Play the game, talk to everyone and you will eventually get them

I'm not sure if you can rush them, they all seems related to some character story

So you have to talk with people regardless, if you talk to them everytime, then you're probably already doing all you can to unlock them

I got my first win by ||using the shield with doom on special (Ares boon), and spamming special and running away.|| It helps to ||get the boons that delay doom for more damage, and that let you stack doom. Divine Dash (Artemis) is also really good||

I then ||got 4 more wins in a row||, with ||higher heat on each run|| with the same strat

First bits all well and good but ||I am a masochist and decided to do hell mode for my first attempt. I also use the sword sooo||

either way, word of advice:

don't do the normal sword attack combo

it's a trap and it's clumsy

do Special>dash strike>dash strike>special>dash strike>dash strike over and over

it's faster than the normal sword combo which is slow and doesn't do much damage

this applies especially to aspect of nemesis but i think it applies to other aspects as well

Its not that im not succesfful ||I have gotten to hades i just havent had enough time do understand his attacks well enough to properly fight him. I can beat him im lose because im bad lol||

||I used the bow in my first 10 or so escapes so i got to learn the attacks from a distance, but melee is different||

||just practice your openings, and make sure to look at the snow when he goes invisible, it gives a hint on where he'll show because there'll be footsteps||

nemesis is like the only sword aspect i can use besides the ||hidden aspect|| so yes use that it's very good

After you unlock all 6 base weapons using Keys and do a run, you can spend it to unlock aspects (different variations of the weapons), and level them up, you can interact with aspects by using your empty weapon holster/shadow thing

No it just means start a run and die/win so you reset the seed and refresh the dialogue in the house etc

Nyaanyaa's Nemesis Guide
Your best strategy for Nemesis tbh is to just get a build so powerful that you can get away with playing hyper-aggressive with just Special > Dash-Strike x2 > repeat combos. It's a very risky weapon to play, so if you don't get very high DPS to make up for it, it's just simply gonna be a lot more difficult than other weapons.

There are four very strong builds for it:

The first is the classic crit build starting with Deadly Strike and then getting Heartbreak Flourish (or vice versa) to unlock Heart Rend. And then you also look for Hunter Dash and Hunter's Mark. Poms would go mainly on Hunter's Mark and maybe a couple on your Attack or Special.

Second is classic melee build that just works on any melee aspect, and that's Merciful End (ME). You start with Curse of Agony, then look for Divine Flourish to unlock Merciful End. And then you get Divine Dash as well. Once you have ME, you also want to look for Impending Doom but usually not before you have ME. Poms go on Attack and Impending Doom. This build is potentially the most powerful, but it's also the least reliable to get all the pieces of.

Third is a very flexible build starting with Heartbreak Strike. Flexibility actually starts right with the very first boon, because if she doesn't offer Heartbreak Strike, you can start with Heartbreak Flourish instead and go for the crit build I described above. But if you start with Heartbreak Strike, then you have basically three main routes, I would say. One is you grab Zeus' Aid to unlock Smoldering Air, and then you just double down on anything that buffs your Call. Second is a reverse of the crit build above where you end up with Heartbreak Strike, Hunter Dash, Hunter's Mark, and either Deadly Flourish or True Shot just to unlock Heart Rend. And then a third route is you pick up Tidal Dash and put practically all your poms into that and get tier 2 boons from him like Breaking Wave, Wave Pounding... You can combine all three, and Heartbreak Strike itself has good pom scaling, too.

Fourth is a little different and a very consistent build, but it doesn't have the same DPS potential as the three above. You start Drunken Strike and just put all your poms on that, pretty much. It's consistent because all you actually need for the build is Drunken Strike and poms. And while it's not as powerful, it's very safe because your Hangover will keep doing damage when you focus on evasion, and the damage is still actually pretty good. Aside from poms, there are Duo Boons and his legendary and a bunch of other things you can go for to supplement your damage, but there's like too many routes to go into that. One thing I'll say is that when you have Hangover on your Attack or in any one slot, then you don't want Hangover in any of your other slots because those would just override each other, so it's just anti-synergy.

Universal things to always look for on Nemesis regardless of your build are Double Edge, Breaching Slash, Piercing Wave (hammers); Hyper Sprint (+ Rush Delivery) and Greatest Reflex (Lord Hermes); Strike and Lunge (Master Chaos); Cyclops Jerkies (Wells of Charon and Patroclus). Divine Dash is also always just very safe.

The standing Attack is practically never used at high level, so Attack hammers that don't affect Dash-Strikes are virtually useless. Flurry Slash and Cursed Slash in particular are actively detrimental.

There's no universal answer to what's best for beginners, and it also depends a lot on how much you're on your own vs getting help from outside.
