Hera levels help a lot with boss fights. Quick Reload is the best boon from Lord Hermes on Hera, and leveling up the aspect has the same effect.

hey guys im a new player with around 6 clears mostly on the chaos shield. still didn’t clear on a couple weapons.
What do you guys do when it feels like rng just completely screws you over? like for example if you’re playing poseidon sword and u dont get a cast that lodges / or exit wounds etc.

Or is this type of rng just to be expected and those incomplete builds are just part of the game

Are we just expected to use an olympian keepsake for the majority of the game to try to circumvent rng screwing us?

yes filling your cast slot will help give you more tier 2 boons or other cores you might want from them. though it could open up unwanted duos

Generally, don't take boons that aren't helpful to you right there unless they open powerful Duo or Legendary boons.

If there's a specific Duo Boon that's crucial to your build, don't open up other Duo Boons for those two gods.

Unless it's Phalanx Shot for the deflect or another Cast for some Duo Boon, don't take a Cast boon if you're not planning/willing to put a few poms in it.

Since Lv.1 Casts aren't much better than your base Cast in the later biomes.

That said, most Casts have excellent pom scaling, so if you're not too sure what to do with your poms anyway, picking up a Cast is always nice.
