Yeah I think a basic combo that works with basically any weapon is a doom applier from Ares and a deflect from Athena, Their duo is that your attacks that can deflect will instantly detonate the doom debuff
So you apply the doom and the blow it up with whatever your deflector is

1- How can i improve my chances (strategy) of getting more boons of a specific god?
2- I don't really get how the replacement boons work, many times i try to get a random attack boon at the first biome (tartarus) hoping to replace it later, but its normally really hard to find replacement boons in general, and its even harder to find replacement from the god you want.

you're much better off just leaving your slot open than taking something not great and hoping for a swap
getting the gods you want is mostly about using god keepsakes
its also good to be aware that the game will stop offering you new gods once you have four (chaos and hermes don't count for this)

If you need something specific in the slot leave it open and then equip the keepsake of the relevant deity
Also you eventually get rerolls which help a lot for executing builds consistently

Spin builds can be plenty strong with Divine Strike or Frost Strike.

Guan Yu before the patch optimally was Special/Dash-Strike hybrid. That's why the new patch changed a lot. You can no longer do two Dash-Strikes in quick succession.

You can look at your boons normally, while in the codex and while at boon selection screen
Why pause the game for it mid fight

say you come back and don't remember your boons

Just get to a quick cornery press - scan for your hammer and duos, go on

charon and npcs dont fall into the normal pools, so their laurels are whatever color the other door is

Was searching for the laurel pic and couldn't find it

if they are solo door they are usually gold, but if they are paired with a currency door, then their laurel will be blue
since they can be paired with both
