Aside from heat 0 there is no harm in skipping. If you can take the fights it is irrelevant. If you have the bounties for 2 heat active it doesn't matter if you run 2, 5, 20 or 50 heat, it will still complete the 2 heat bounties.

The rail attack tends to benefit a lot from boons that have fixed damage like Zeus or Dionysus. With the rail you also generally want to use your special too, essentially regardless of what you doing.
