there's a sort of "hierarchy" for items, and titan blood is ostensibly at the top. In general, try to keep as many diamonds, ambrosia, and titan blood as you can before you know what you want to do with them. Once you do, trade/spend them however you want

whenever theseus spins or throws, he always walks away from your position, use this moment to attack
when he calls for aid, he’s vulnerable from all directions and is basically a sitting duck

the key with aegis lies in that you can charge up your attack while blocking incoming damage, which is extremely helpful with the majority of enemies you face. Try using more Bull Rushes instead of regular attacks when playing with Aegis and you'll probably see yourself taking way less damage and getting way farther with the shield

Honestly there are so many weapons and Boons and play styles that the stuff I love might not work for you and the stuff I hate might be your favorite
Also because of the randomness of the Boons, you just gotta adjust to what you’re given and hope for the best

i like using 1 of the keepsakes to aim for a boon, usually dionysus/ares attack or special then build around it as best i can with what else they give me along the way

Most of the time I feel like I can get away with not purchasing anything for a while, so perhaps Golden Touch is better. But sometimes that instant +100 gold really helps because you can snag an extra boon early that accelerates your build.

Mostly you'll want to spam Dash-Strike Power Shots. I recommend practicing on Skelly for a bit to get the rhythm and timing down.
Good hammers are anything for your Attack. Best to just try all of them and see which work best for you.
You can also try Special builds, but the meta for that isn't really established yet because it was just recently buffed.
The Special used to be mostly ignored on base bow because it was too slow and risky for too little reward.

i think the issue is it doesn't really provide any further challenge that normal runs with heat don't (aside from one fairly low-impact modifier that could just be available in normal mode), so it has no purpose for experienced players, only for new players that want the game to start out harder

Charm duration is shortened for bosses (stunning them out of a move, but with a bit of good timing, you could have Theseus and Asterius harm each other, for example). The Greater Call still does oodles of damage, though.

@ruby condor a good idea is to kill asterius first, because once you weaken theseus enough, he has a really powerful god attack, and it doesn't really help that a giant bull is running towards you as well. better to get rid of the latter first
also, if you fought asterius as a mini boss before hand, his HP is automatically lowered
