Dead Cells has a bit more focus on always feeling stronger when you die, I don't necessarily get that feeling from Hades because sometimes I screw up real bad haha.

If you struggle avoiding ||Bull's|| attacks and charges, make sure to pick up Athena's boons (notably dash) or try to use ranged weapons for a start.

@analog marlin Meg generally does a few attacks. If you see here twirl the whip in the air that means she’s gonna do an aoe attack around her and you need to back off. If she crouches that means she’s gonna rush forward you can keep attacking her just stay out of the charge path. Her bullet wave can be attacked through so feel free to wail on her even as she’s shooting bullets

I just wanted to say, I was really hesitant about Hades at first. I've tried and hated every roguelike/roguelite I've ever played, but Supergiant's games are some of my favorites of all time. Gave Hades a shot yesterday and
I gotta say, it's the first Roguelike I've loved. Cheers to Supergiant. You continue to prove that you pretty much exclusively make quality games, and your reputation is sufficient that I'll buy whatever you sell regardless of genre, and I haven't been let down. Yes! Each time you die, make sure to talk to everyone in the House of Hades, you'll learn a lot about what is going on and the people you meet.
Just don't expect big choices, but you still have some agency on which relationships to improve.

I think it’s a 20 percent increase. Also this is an advanced mechanic but the game has rubber banding on silver/gold rewards. Every time you get a gold reward the chances of getting a silver reward goes up significantly until it’s guaranteed
It also does nothing on the last area that place does not have silver rewards

@midnight shore Hell Mode in general is not worth it. If we are talking long term, Hell Mode offers one thing over Normal Mode - you don't have Mercy Invulnerability (the brief i-frames that you get after receiving heavy damage). So if you want to squeeze every bit of difficulty out of the game, go for it. Although trust me, no one has ever completed the highest difficulty level of the game even on Normal Mode (assuming no routing).

Chiron's gimmick is when you hit someone with your primary, your secondary now seeks them out

I got to the point where I was keeping 5 stacks of Hangover on nonstop, on top of the consecutive hit bonus. I was doing like, nearly 300 per secondary fire.
Plus the hangover DOT.
And the initial primary hit + Doom
Plus I got a sub 30 minute run done (just a little over 28) using Chiron. My new personal best.

You know I haven't really used hangover at all, I used Doom on my first clear. Second clear with sword I only had crystal beam as a DoT sorta thing

Hangover works best on fast weapons that can upkeep the stacks.
IE, you wouldn't want it on the bow's primary slot.
