· Rename that file to Profile1.sav
· Then open the Play menu in-game and look for the save.

how does fated authority work?

When you walk up to a door, you can press the button and it will randomly change the next room reward, within certain groupings. So "permanent" rewards (gems, darkness, etc.) will only reroll into each other, and "temporary" rewards (hammers, boons, etc.) will only reroll into each other. I believe Miniboss rooms either can't be rerolled or will only reroll into a different boon.
Disclaimer: I rarely use FA so I might've gotten some details wrong :3

@tepid wren fists with zeus or athena are practically easy mode, go for artemis just enough to get seeking fire
(zeus provides pretty high area DPS for the incredible skill floor of pressing m1, athena lets you just ignore most attacks)

If you're struggling with fists, Athena's attack will make them very very safe.
It teaches you some bad habits, but it's good for getting more comfortable with the combos.

As creature said, Twin fists with zeus attack + artemis boons is litteraly godlike and really fun (like 99% of the builds i'd say) and easy to pick up
I suggest trying on the second aspect of the fists, greatly improves the dps on single target
I personnaly love Athena dash with pretty much any build that's not the shield
Since deflect mechanic greatly helps when you're still learning the game

Elysium is a hard check for your DPS, and on Plume runs, the best thing to have are hammers/boons that give damage against armor, do piercing damage, or better, both (like Breaching Cross for the Fists). The rest is playing aggressive - the Plume will dodge-tank quite a few hits for you if you leveled it properly in the earlier regions.

Any recommendations to defeat theseus and the bull? I always kill the bull but the theseus kills me in his second phase

Theseus is a pain, he always blocks most of your damage... So I just focus on the Minotaur then Theseus. The "clean" way to beat theseus would be to wait his damage to dodge behind him to deal him damage during that time he's open to damage. But gotta say I'm not a pro to defeat him I do struggle ^^

It really depends on what aspect of Aegis you use.
If you are running with the Zagreus aspect (starter version), then it's better to concentrate on the main attack.

I'm afraid that if I play it now it may spoil the 1.0 in a way because there is no real ending yet and I'll have t wait to have it (I'm the kind of person that bingeplay especially games from Supergiant). Do you guys have any suggestions for getting to and beating the Hydra, particularly concerning which weapon to use?

Getting to: Learning to manage your dashes is super helpful, so you don't accidentally dash onto lava when you can't dash back out
Fighting: Whenever possible, try and hit more than one head at a time during the summon phases. During the main phases, keep your distance until the Hydra attacks, and then go in quickly (use ranged options during its attacks when possible, but focus on dodging)

Early on, I like the shield, which gives you more time to learn enemy attack patterns. The bow is a bit tricky, but lets you keep your distance

the shield has the big advantage that you can block basically all projectiles (as long as you point the shield in the right direction) - which can also help with the Hydra fight itself 🙂

You have limited control over meeting him in Elysium or not, so it's not worth thinking too much about it.
Technically, miniboss encounters can be skipped, but the chambers don't always line up to allow it.
And you can't always engage him if you want to; the bull chamber and the soulcatcher chamber look the same from outside.
In case you're curious, miniboss chambers have a skull and a red chevron next to their reward. That's supposed to tell you that said reward is improved.

By the way, if you bring fated authority and have a choice between darkness, keys and gems, changing one of the gates will always result in a nectar. Very useful if you're hunting the good stuff.
