Okay sure! since I’m not used to a weapon yet, I’ll try them both (sword seems kinda boring and the ray gun just felt unnatural) I could try spear as well! What would be a good way to ‘try it’? Like beat what boss how many amount of times with each weapon (I’ve beaten the third one once)

What I do like about hades over dead cells though is the scenery. Like dead cells was cool and everything but the biome was kinda the same throughout and the background was basically a still image. Hades (in my opinion) has slightly different areas inside of the floor you’re on. It reminds me of something but I just can’t remember it…

Tbh the best way to get a good feel of the weapon isn't really "beating bosses" mainly bc how good a weapon feels depends on the boons mostly

If you take it earlier, sure you have a harder fight, but you benefit more from the discount card over your run, and you lose less progress because it’s just the start of the run

But in general, I don't think you have to worry that much about which classes you choose, rather hear from your peers how it's taught

6 years of studies is a lot so I have no idea what'll be important for you by the time you get here and I'm in no way an expert

but most importantnly learn to learn things by yourself if you have the time, that's what helped me get my drive for physics

Though if I understood correctly, you won't have too many issues with that

If you find something, try and find a good source to study it further, unironically some college physics textbooks work wonders to drive interest in physics since they actually try and explain things a bit more in depth (and of course, you can always go further in depth), so I assume the same is in other fields

But yeah don't worry about it yet

That’s why I get overwhelmed with all my work and can’t ask anyone because my dad kind of hates me and my mum isn’t as supportive as she could be. The pupil support leaders at my school give even less of a care though. I can’t speak to anyone about it and those ‘mental health calls’ are serious and not really something I can just do anyway since they’ll ask for my first name, last name, phone number, address, post code, age etc. The literal way I have coped is by watching a lot of dark fantasy anime and going to my girlfriend’s house. The dark fantasy is your usual kind of anime except the main character is an absolute flip up and over the great story, there’s a ton of character development and if you’ve seen Evangelion, you’ll know what I mean when I say it’s more realistic than other genres

It’s cool. I think I just mostly get too focused on doing something wrong and ruining the rest of my life because of it. Whenever I DO find something that makes me happy I get ‘teenage envy’ directed at me. Idk what it’s actually called but it’s where teenagers have to be the best at everything all the time and if someone is doing something well, it means that person is somehow ‘not enough’ anymore. if you want ez mode without enabling god mode, use the shield

and spam only bull rush (charged attack), it blocks and theres some good daedalus upgrades like dealing more damage after blocking

and he kills you very fast cs you probably dont avoid the "||boiling blood||" attack, those are like your casts on enemies, but on you

so you will basically take more damage until they drop

Zagreus is really tanky at base, I’m surprised you’d be going down so fast

Having some damage reduction goes a long way. A combo as simple as Hyper Sprint (one of Hermes strongest boons due to Rush Delivery existing and boosting your damage based on movement speed) and the weak debuff from Aphrodite means you’ll take less than half the damage you previously were

30% damage reduction * 30% damage reduction = 51% damage reduction

Aside from that, learning his attack patterns does really rely on you getting to the fight and doing it more

the real other ways to make the fight easier are making sure you have good usage of the pillars to block projectiles and lasers, and just having a solid build together to make it easier on yourself

There isn’t much use to high confidence if you aren’t speedrunning, so I’m talking about using thick skin to start with 100 max hp. When you combine that with the handful of max hp upgrades you’re bound to run into at some point or another in the run, you’re pretty well of at every stage of the run in terms of max hp

A zagreus that isn’t specifically built to take hits can usually take his fair share of hits from ||Hades|| as long as you aren’t getting bogged down by boiling blood from him and taking 100% more damage

Aside from ||the overworld||, where they reward diamonds, ambrosia, and titans blood

You have a 50:50 of getting a common or rare fish from regular catches, and a 50:50 of getting rare and legendary fish from a perfect catch

So if you’re only getting gups it’s probably a bad luck streak on successive normal catches

if you catch within a third of a second (0.34s), it’s a perfect catch

otherwise, anything else within 2/3’s of a second (0.67s) from the bob is a regular catch

there are a few tips and tricks I can give

like there can at max be 3 fake bobs, so you’ll know the 4th one is always real if it gets that far

and real bobs are always sooner than fake bobs

Like real bobs have an interval of 0.5s-1.5 1-2s instead of fake bobs who are around 1.5s-2.5 2-5s

It can never be in the first one you enter, but it has a 52% chance to be in the second one you enter, with descending chances

down to 2% to be in the last tunnel you enter

By weapon I’d go

Nemesis, Achilles, Zagreus Shield, Demeter, Zag bow, and Eris

half of those have something quite minor for you to keep track of and manage while you’re doing your thing (throw in a special for crit chance on Nemesis, etc) which does help get you used to things like that, and otherwise they’re just like decently strong without having anything that takes up too much headspace I think

I figure with bow you’re still learning how to consistently powershot so I didn’t want to hand you like Hera, Zagreus’s aspect is really simple while getting used to bow is still a complexity. (Hopefully you’ve figured out that dash striking is strictly better than standing striking atp)

While Chiron has the lowest skill floor of all the bows, it really doesn’t teach you how to play the bow well

If you’re not using god mode, elysium enemies do a lot of damage, and learning their patterns or just doing a ton of damage is necessary for clearing

At any rate, the shield and rail are both very safe weapons.
Shield you can do doom attack with tidal or divine dash
Rail you can do Zeus attack + static discharge with tidal or divine dash

Dashes give iframes, dash strikes do not. Use god keepsakes, take free rooms, don’t pick up more boons than necessary so you can Pom the important ones

The best sword build that I’ve had so far is this:

Nemesis aspect

Double Edge hammer upgrade (dash strike hits twice)

Artemis attack boon (extra crit chance and %damage)

Aphrodite special boon (weaken enemies)

Zeus cast (chain lightning)

Poseidon dash

Dionysus call

Start a fight by casting, then dash into the enemies and just start doing special + dash strike + dash strike until everything is dead.

The big duo boon to look out for is the Artemis/Aphrodite duo boon, Heart Rend. It causes your critical hits to do +150% additional damage to weaker enemies. Your enemies will almost always be weakened if you play this build right, so this means about half of your dash strikes will do 4.5 times damage, which is even crazier if you managed to get the Double Edge upgrade.

The cast, dash, and call don’t matter as much, but those ones I listed seem to be the ones that get me the best clear times (and highest heat). The attack and special are the important part, and you can guarantee those using keepsakes in Tartarus and Asphodel
