i think both merciful end speedkills are actually insane and i have gotten better because i somehow got by heroes with 61 hp and acorn and not die once when i used to have to use a death defy even at full when i was worse

imo the game is pretty balanced so all of the gods are good and while obviously there's some i prefer, there's only very few boons i (almost) never take. it adds to the replayability bc it encourages changing your style a bit to accomodate the different weapons and boons
rejecting specific abilities or going for specific builds is a thing if you're going for high heat or speedrunning only imo. for casual playing, everything is good

Dashing briefly makes you invulnerable. Attacking while you dash ("dash-strike") removes your invulnerability
The 2nd dash upgrade is very important. Grab it ASAP. Generally focus on upgrading the Mirror whenever you can

some people like to use stygian so they dont have to chase down their casts, which is fine
but cast based aspects like to use infernal soul instead of stygian for more burst damage
stygian vs infernal doesnt really matter if youre not played a cast based aspect, but once you do play one, then it does matter
so hera, achilles, and poseidon would rather use infernal
the other thing is like gods' legacy vs gods' pride, but like 99% of the time pride is better
