what's the difference between stubborn and deaths defiance?
You can only get 1 Stubborn Defiance but it heals for less and refreshes every room. However, you can get up to 3 Death Defiances, they heal more but they don't refresh like SD does, you can replenish them in multiple ways tho. Most beginners tend to die multiple times to bosses early on, so using SD isn't that great since it leaves you with a much smaller HP pool. For now stick to Death Defiances. Later on another use for SD will pop up.

Yes, they become enraged when the other dies, which reduces the delay between their attacks. Asterius will also become enraged when he enters phase 2 (i.e., when his HP is reduced to 50%).

God Mode does not disable achievements or trophy collection in the game. It's there to give players the option of enjoying the game and story with an easier challenge and has no penalty whatsoever.
I guess the only restriction I can think of, which is not a restriction imposed by god mode but rather on it, is that you can't turn on godmode on a hell mode save, but that's to be expected.
That said, I can't think of an achievement or anything that requires hell mode. Is there anything like that? Well, if there was, you'd need a new save anyway, so for your current playthrough there's no concern

There can only be three fake bobs, so the fourth bob is always real if the first three were fake. Fake bobs have an interval of 2-5 seconds while the real bob has an interval of 1-2 seconds. So if it takes more than 2 seconds, it should be a fake bob. Meaning you should look for the real bob within a short time after you start fishing or within a short time after a previous bob.
Personally, I just look for the white flash above the bobber and ignore the bobber itself. Some players have said they have better success when putting their thumb on the bobber to not get distracted by that, so maybe you could give that a try.
A Perfect Catch means catching a fish within 340ms. Perfect Catches are 50/50 on being a legendary or rare fish. Any other catch is 50/50 on being a rare or common fish.

I have 50~ hours from the game but like the first 40 is from last year on a very laggy computer that just died in Elysium and I'd just survive through lucky dash attacks. I recently started back again and have used 3 main builds to beat the game and they haven't been close combat based. I used Doom + Chaos Shield, Hunting Blades Achilles Spear and Eris Rail Jolted + Chill so I probably didn't utilize it that much

If you get a Poseidon T2 called Breaking Wave you can literally dash into a Styx tunnel and it’ll kill everything. That is usually what makes that dash extra strong for Styx. On its own it’s nice but much slower

using the evergreen acorn from eurydice really helps!! honestly this doesn’t sound very helpful but the main part of beating that figh consistently is learning attack patterns and how to dodge them. with the fists, which i mainly use, you’re gonna wanna just go in for a few hits and dash away. that fight is super tricky took me 10 times or so to beat

you need to spoiler that. anyway,|| tight deadline 1 is usually the first, it is very rare to go over that time even if you arent speed running. tight deadline 2 is not bad either if you like to go fast, it isn't hard but you still have to keep it in mind and you might have a bad time if it takes you long time to find satyr sack. extreme measures 1 isn't bad. tightened security is easy unless you are bad with traps. I personally think underworld customs is an easy 2 heat but I think I purge boons more aggressively than most players anyway. ||

Basically comes down to this, if you can pick up the stones immediately after using a cast, then Infernal is probably going to be faster

Ok so, what most people do when doing a Cast build is use the keepsake of the god they want to get in Tartarus so that they have a really good chance of getting their preferred Cast early

you're invincible when you dash, but when you dash-strike, you lose your invincibility
and you should pretty much always be dash-striking they're a lot better than standing strikes

That's fine, don't worry too much. It's just like some guide for what kind of power and potential you can expect.
Cursed Slash is far from optimal way of playing sword, but Zag Sword is good for it.
And it's like... I've seen Cursed Slash carry a lot of new players to their first (sword) wins. But the better you get with sword, the worse you'll probably think of Cursed Slash.
If that makes sense.

At the very very start, keys. But it depends. Like... if you don't have enough Darkness yet to upgrade the next mirror talents anyway, then getting keys to unlock them isn't gonna do anything for you.
Long-term, you'll run out of use for Keys long before any other resource. So focusing more on Darkness isn't a bad idea.
