Trials of the Gods can only appear when you've already picked up boons from at least 2 gods in that run (not counting Lord Hermes or Master Chaos), and they can only offer boons from gods you've picked up in that run. The two boons are never from the same god.

Depends on the build, but they're all pretty good in their own way. Strongest overall that you can slap onto any build are Zeus' Aid and Dionysus' Aid. (You'll want to use their Lesser Calls rather than wait for the full gauge to fill.)

Invincibility and damage, yes. But all Calls give i-frames on activation, so that part of it ends up not being too important.
Call activation invincibility is a little bit longer than the invincibility you get from an empty dash.

Smoldering Air limits your god gauge to 25% (which is 1 lesser call) but charges your god gauge in 5 seconds naturally (+ the god gauge generation you get from dealing damage etc.).

Heartbreak Strike is just basically the best % Attack and also applies Weak, which reduces the damage you take by 30%.

And since you get her in the pool right from the start, you have good chances to pick up boons like Life Affirmation etc. from her. The more damage reduction you already have, the more you benefit from picking up more damage reduction and dodge chance and also from any HP you pick up.
Starting out with Weak is basically like starting with 1.4x HP.

Yeah, for Privileged Status it's more like... if you have to go out of your way to pick up a Dash for it, it's not gonna be good. But if you have a strong combo of two core boons that are also status curses, then Privileged Status helps a lot.
For example... Chiron with Heartbreak Strike + Drunken Flourish + Low Tolerance.
That's a strong build all on its own. And Privileged Status is the natural choice for that because that's two status curses.

So if the ratio is let's say around 50:50, it changes that to 70:30.
Which is a 40% increase in gold laurel rewards, rather than just the 20% it says.
And it's not just a chance, you're guaranteed to see that improved ratio over your run.

Nemesis gets good DPS even at Lv.1, but can be risky to play. Poseidon is definitely the easiest sword aspect if you just want to clear because Cast builds are safe and powerful.
Achilles can either do Tidal Dash start and play aggressive with Dash-Attacks or go for Cast builds or even combine those two.
Well, easiest sword if you just want to clear is hidden sword, but you can't get that yet.
Strongest Lv.1 aspect you can get as your first unlock is definitely Hera. With a good Cast build, it plays like Lv.5 even at Lv.1 except for boss fights. But the burst damage makes boss fights still pretty easy.

No, it's decent enough on Achilles actually if you make a build around it. Flurry Jab just completely outshines it on Zag Spear and Achilles Aspect. And spin hammers prevent you from picking up Flurry Jab and vice versa. So the meta on those two aspects is to just avoid spin hammers and hope to pick up Flurry Jab on your second hammer. Well... in competitive play people just reset for Flurry Jab. Tbh I think a lot of them actually have no idea anymore what other Zag Spear/Achilles builds are like because they only play with Flurry Jab.
Also the meta is Tidal Dash start and just killing everything with Dash-Attacks, and spins would slow you down. But the spin hammers are fine in other builds.
On Hades Aspect and the hidden spear, the spin hammers are very good anyway. (These aspects can't get Flurry Jab.) Not the top picks but still pretty good.

No. But some are incompatible. Like, Flurry Jab removes the ability to spin, so Flurry Jab and the spin hammers are incompatible. If you pick up the first hammer and it's not Flurry Jab, you'd avoid the spin hammers to still have a chance to be offered Flurry Jab on the second hammer.

If you mean furthering conversations inside the house? No real downside to dying in c1 to further those but also probably not really necessary as many of the different conversations are also gated by progress outside of the house

The sword is very simple and effective. So it might be the "best" weapon to beat the game with if you're not that practiced yet.

The best all around weapons (as in the best for both ||high heat|| and speedrunning, and with the most viable aspects) are considered to be shield/bow/rail in no particular order, with spear/sword/fists being the bottom half.
Chaos shield and zag rail are probably the 'lowest' of those, but everything else is super strong.

But that's one lackluster aspect for each, where the other weapons have several bad aspects or general glaring flaws

Hidden shield, Eris, Hera, and Achilles make up most of the fastest times with a couple other aspects sprinkled in
Achilles is easily the best spear for example, and hidden spear is behind it as second best by a decent margin
For bow, Hera is the go to for speedrunning, but if you're pushing high ||heat|| then Rama's flexibility becomes more important, among other things the ||pact|| does that nerfs Hera

One trick I used when I wasn't very familiar with the fight yet was using ||the Skelly doll to force Theseus to look away from me||. You might not have this unlocked yet though.
It becomes less and less necessary (and thus less and less strong) as you get more familiar with the fight, but it can help you beat them a couple of times until you get there.
The trick also works similarly for the final boss.

I'm trying to roll the last boons I haven't gotten yet, but I'm starting to think there are some with pre-requisites? Like Zeus Double Strike. I've yet to see it ever and is the last one I need. Some others as well but is there a list of those that I have to "build into" so to speak to unlock?

oh yeah every move from the champs can be deflected, so deadly reversal can be pretty neat

technically yeah but it's much harder to do it with the typical enemies because their hit range is pretty short
and like, at that point you're not focused on getting the deflect off you're more focused on actually dashing away/through
with the champs fight, all their moves are really wide so you can deflect those

I've consistently died to Meg but in my previous run i made it all the way to the boss of Elysium

I haven’t figured out how to use Ambrosia yet. When will I be able to give it to people? There are some characters to which I maxed the initial hearts and the next heart appeara locked. What now?

You need to deepen your relationship with them through some character story event to unlock the heart.
And from that point on, you'll need to give them Ambrosia instead of Nectar to increase affinity.
