I see lots of comments here from people asking for conditions for dialogue to trigger after they've tried multiple times, especially when it comes to unlocking hearts or progressing sidequests. Well, funny thing. I had a conversation with a olympian in the first room of the run, and then decided to 'give up' to check what upgrade to aim for in the list of prophecies before continuing with the run. Next time I entered the room and had the conversation with the olympian, a different exchange took place, one I needed to unlock their heart. So one can use 'give up' to re-roll the dialogue RNG in Tartarus without having to do another run / suicide.

||Every hidden aspect is different from the standard weapon setup, they're all worth getting to try out. Once you unlock them, you can read what they do before buying one, so I'd recommend doing that if you're unsure.||

||I recall that you need to have at least spoken about the possibility of breaking/altering pacts with some people before Achilles' pact will become available. Some people say you have to do Achilles and Patroclus after Eurydice and Orpheus but I'm pretty sure I only had to get them to the point where we were discussing it before Achilles and Patroclus were available.||

||in my experience, you need to first forge the orpheus bond before the option for achilles and patty becomes available||

||after that you just need to do a few runs and eventually he'll(achilles) ask you to talk to nyx about finding the contract which assigns him to the house. you talk to nyx and she tells you where to find it, you grab it, and then you can access and ultimately buy it off the house contractor||

I don't think he says Sisyphus and Orpheus in the same sentence unless you have already done both of them because you absolutely 100% do not have to have both of them to get Achilles seeing as how I didn't even see Sisyphus enough before freeing Achilles to get his hearts even halfway.

Sisyphus was the last that I had available in my contractor.

Heck, this implies to me that what Achilles comments is mutable depending on your progress with the others.

so uh, how am I supposed to get Meg to come into my room so that I can get her companion? I've given her 5 nectars and have completed like 10 runs since then, 3 of them with EM on and our relationship has been completely stagnant

Zeus doesn't ask and plays matchmaker with Hades and Persephone by kidnapping Persephone since he saw she liked paintings of Hades. Persephone is happy to leave Olympus because she doesn't like it and doesn't want to work with Demeter. Hades and Persephone grow close and have Zag but he is stillborn by prophecy. Persephone is dealing with grief and doesn't feel like she belongs so she asks Nyx to hide her as she goes to live in self imposed exile. Now Hades can't tell Demeter to go get her because Persephone does not want to return to Olympus and Demeter is punishing mortals already thinking they have somehow killed Persephone and Hades and Persephone are now complicit with Zeus' kidnapping but if they tell anyone they'll be in trouble with Demeter for not telling her and in trouble with Zeus who will deny his involvement. Meanwhile Nyx resurrects Zagreus and accepts Hades' request to pretend to be his mother so that he does not learn of Persephone. He does anyway and Hades is scared he will both upset Persephone and Zeus and Demeter. And there we are. The epilogue feast explains Persephone's plan to replace big dangerous lies with tacit compliance and smaller lies that won't cause a war of gods.||

Aw, I had Aphrodite's Aid and Smoldering Air, and thought there might be some funny dialogue by using it to make Asterius fight Theseus, but they just kept using Delta Strike over and over because they kept being next to each other

I found that combo to be pretty good anyway though - you can basically permanently render a single boss useless by continuously charming them

Zag's not the usual gritty survivor or jerkish saviour. He's genuinely nice, respectful and humble. He makes mistakes, he's reckless, and sometimes acts without considering others, but he's a good person and that's lovely. Building his relationships was a joy.

So while I'll no doubt be happy with whatever SGG does next, I know I'd be more excited about a Hades 2/DLC/Spinoff than anything else they might do.
