So quick question about Dusa's storyline: ||before 1.0 I got Dusa fired/rehired through Nyx, I assume through summoning her too much? On my current 1.0-only file, I've maxed out her hearts, all the way to giving her 4 Ambrosia, but I have not done the fired/rehired thing. Do I need to do that to finally get her bond forged?||

I almost achieved that in my last run, which made my revenge build somewhat useless

no but there's a run clear title for when you complete a run without ever taking damage

"Perfect Clear" if you finish with full health

you can take damage but you have to heal with food

Obviously the gods but I mean like, how much of their personalities are "real" and how much made for the lore?

well almost all of it is definitively influenced by greek mythos, the names are almost all from original mythos, some characters (like hades himself) got completely turned around for it to better fit but i'd say about 50/50

it's also hard to judge the whole of it since the main people in greek mythos that have alot of personalitytraits talked about arent mentioned here and instead it plays in the part of mythology which is really not talked about

They all seem generous but also vicious when you cross them, which is totally accurate. Their personalities are all over the place in the mythology.

But I think regarding the myth, hades and persephone would need to have their personalities swapped. He is pretty chill and forgiving in myths while she is an absolute beast of terror.

She was originally called kore (little girl) but later got the upgrade to persephone (flayer of grain or bringer of chaos)

But all the other gods grudges and their bickering is pretty much on point

In the myth they often picked different sides of wars but some gods stick together.

it really depends on whose delivery of the mythos you're looking at

A lot of the info I'm online saying all you need is ||to clear the game once, have the list of minor prophecies, and put at least 5 titan blood into 5 different non Zagreus aspect weapons to unlock the Spear||, but I've done all that and am at around 15 clears and still don't have it. ||I've actually started the Patroclus questline with Achilles now too...||

nothing is locked behind em4, other than being able to purchase unseen ones

each character has their own requirement that usually ties in with them in some manner (poseidon involves fishing, dio involves gifting ambrosia, ares involves total amounts of kills and so on)

its possible you might just have backlogged dialogue

but without actually looking into your save data its hard to say. to my knowledge there isnt anything thats "bugged" but some people do get dialogue stuck from time to time

for poseidon, make sure you have caught a fish before you speak to him on that run. ares has additional dialogue after finishing the prophecy before his affinity unlocks.

if hes still giving you unique dialogue, you may not have cycled to the plume dialogue yet. if hes giving you recycled dialogue then somethings up. the game pulls dialogue from two different dialogue pools, depending on if you have any currently available unique dialogue or not

if you think you're bugged you'll have to try and get tech support. there's no other requirement for unlocking him other than getting both of his plume dialogue. the first one is simply wearing it, the second one is wearing it while its maxed.

sometimes the dialogue rng just doesnt favour you and some stuff may take a while to come up lol i would really only be worried if all you're getting is the recycled dialogue, which would mean that theres no unique dialogue currently in line to be played

the recycled stuff is usually just short, generic messages, the unique stuff will typically be related to the narrative, or hermes commenting about various things like keepsakes, your run streaks and so on

Ok, I feel like I’m going nuts. I’ve been trying forever to max out affinity for ||Zeus||, and the requirements I’ve seen say to ||get 5 lines of dialogue from other Olympians about Zeus, have a certain conversation with Hades about Zeus, and get a specific Zeus/Demeter duo boon dialogue. I wasn’t keeping track when I was playing through the game, but all the other olympians pretty much always just give me their generic lines at this point. The only requirement I think I could be missing is the Demeter duo boon, but I’ve had it pop up as an option several times from both sides with no dialogue.|| Do I just have terrible RNG or could it be bugged? I’ve seriously completed pretty much everything else, ||including the house upgrades, all other affinities, the epilogue, and I think all other plot lines? Everyone gives me generic dialogue and has for a long time. The only thing I could think of that messed it up was that I didn’t start really gifting Zeus until AFTER the epilogue, and I remember one of his lines saying something about how he hoped we could meet one day, so I think it’s intended to be done before, but idk if that would actually affect anything.|| I’m playing on Switch if that matters.

I feel like I’ve had it as an option from both sides a lot, but there’s never any dialogue beforehand, which makes me think the convos might have happened already?
