This seems like the most appropriate channel to ask:
The literal only thing standing between me and completely 100%-ing the game is ||catching a second Voidskate to complete the codex|| and I am losing my mind trying to do it
Are there any tricks I'm missing? My current methodology is to ||always run Conch and try to rush to Huge Catch (removing the fish spawn cooldown), then spamming Light of Ixions to get the most chances. Besides that is there anything? ANYTHING?? I can do to push the odds a little more in my favor? Does running Cosmic Egg increase Chaos Gate spawn rates at all?||

||Perfect catch is 0.34 second window after plop. The main things to look out for:

React to the flash of light
React to the PLOP sound
The fishing game picks a random number of bobs (when the ball dips into the water) between 1 and 4. On that number it will trigger it. That means if you count the number of bobs, you will always know the 4th one will be the real one. You can use this information to help make you more alert to when to press. After 2 bobs I basically am very alert because it's either 3 or 4)

Perfect catch is basically +1 to rarity of fish (kinda)||

After some reasearch, it seems to indicate the perfect catch still only has around 5 percent chance to catch a legendary fish

@unreal dagger No, my aspects were still there, my keepsakes and mirror were still there (I had - and still have all of them, except for the new ones of course - just got the persephone one so, yay), the only things I lost were the fists, ||dusa's companion (the other companions were there), the lyre quest, orpheus+eurydice quest and now that i think of it maybe I didn't actually finish the chaos+nyx one, but i'm sure I did finish the orpheus questline, because i remember getting the ambrosia.||

It's safer to get further away because your timing can be more flexible. But i-framing is totally viable and not too hard either.
