I think the big issue is remembering their patterns. They all have some similar attack animations, so keeping them properly separated in your noggin is the way to success.

#

For my money, I really dislike Tisi's final phase, where she puts you into a tiny little box. But I also always have 50% Whipped Frenzy so I have a bit if a different perspective on it.

Hey, for what it's worth -- normally we like to avoid providing design detail that isn't in the game, though I can confirm in this case that there are no narrative triggers for Thanatos showing up.

#

Events that foreshadow certain characters or events generally are set to expire after those events, rather than being necessary for those events to occur, if that makes sense.

#

We try to be 'realistic' about it in the sense that, if the event specifically involves an action on Zag's part, then that action can be required -- e.g., you do have to defeat Meg enough times to set the events in motion where her sisters return. But if it's something that would happen without Zag's intervention, it will just happen on its own.

#

A specific example is when the Lounge opens up early on -- the closing of the Lounge is in the backstory. You can have conversations about it that give some insight into why it closed, but it will reopen no matter what. Intro conversation with Dusa varies based on whether you engaged with those events or not.

#

Our general intention is for the narrative to be opt-in as much as possible -- we don't want players to engage with the narrative out of a sense of necessity, but simply because they want to.

#

It is, and it used to crash the game

It softlocked the second confrontation because, since he was an NPC, you could only talk to him once per run. You could not leave. I speak from experience.

The 5th weapon appears after you have all 4 other weapons. It's called the Adamant Rail, and is in my opinion very good

According to the March Road-Map, the 8th Olympian will be added at some point in the future. What is the overall consensus on who it would be? There are 12 Olympians in the game, 7 of which are already Boons and the eight is Hades. So we have 4 left: Hera (Zeus's Wife, goddess of Marriage, Children) Demeter (Lover of Zeus and Poseidon, mother of Persephone, goddess of Fertility, Agriculture, Nature and Seasons), Apollo (Son of Zeus, Artemis twin, god of light, poetry, arts, music, healing) and Hermes (Messenger of Gods, god of travel, commerce, thieves and games).

Personally, besides Hera I think all the other 3 could have very interesting and unique boons. Demeter is especially interesting due to the connection with Perspephone. Hermes could have the boons focused on Dash and there are many ways Apollo could be designed.

Hades isn't an Olympian because he doesn't live on Olympus, he's a Cthonic god. The 12th Olympian is Hephaestus, god of fire (i think he was cast out in one myth, but returned to olympus in another)

I don't think Hermes would be focused on dash because every Olympian has a dash boon, he'd probably have something to do with movement speed. Maybe he could take on an elemental twist as an air god (though i don't know what mechanical role that would play)
