I didnt see much of the advertising for the game really. I didn't want it to come off as negative maybe as it sounds. I just think he's kind of a Gary Stu, doesn't have any real conflict with anyone. All of his resolutions are resolved easily and amicably. I'm a fan of complex characters who experience high highs and low lows...and I just think a lot of his actions really didn't have ramifications. He just kind of coasts through all of this unschathed. Don't even really feel like he learned much. Maybe I just wanted to see Zag go through more. I did really enjoy most of his interactions with his mother though. I like how she challenged him.

I find Zagreus very complex and he has some hints of relatability as a fictional character

Now, I will say that it's far from easy to solve some of the game's conflicts (I'm still reliant on god mode lol) because there's still the very real factors of time and understanding with reaching a conclusion

His actions had lots of consequences, seeking out Persephone, almost revealing her whereabouts and status to the Olympians, as well as the true nature of her ties to Hades

Those had very heavy, albeit implied consequences that had more than enough weight to disrupt not only his life, but the lives of those outside the Underworld

Also a few of his relationships in the house are already at the bottom by the atart of the game so it's not like it can get worse

If you wanted Zagreus to come out unscathed, though, there technically wouldn't really be a game? Hades's S-tier parenting, coupled with generational trauma and actively shutting down any and all (warranted, imo) questions or discussions of Persephone

Hey everyone! I've been pondering over something interesting. Do you believe there might be subtle hints to Chronos scheming in the first game? I've heard that it was confirmed that the narrator is Homer, but personally, I think it would be quite fitting if the narrator turned out to be Chronos. After all, Zagreus has been planning his escape from the underworld, inadvertently exposing its weak spots all along, while Chronos could have just been silently observing. Are there any other connections that could hint to this link with the first and second game's plot?

Seriously though, he’s trapped in Tartarus where the Titans were imprisoned… Doomed to be relentlessly killed over and over. His summoning circle is much larger than he appears. He’s extremely cryptic about his true identity (come on? Schelemeus?) which would make sense since Chronos is the most hated Titan.

generally the answer is almost always "keep doing more runs and interacting with them and eventually things will happen" which is certainly the case with cerb, dusa may depend on what dialogue you've seen so far

Game chooses list of possible dialogues, some available after requisites are done (see: Chaos mentioning the phrase)
But with the game picking at random you can just get those filler texts for a while
-some dialogues may have priority over other stuff (like main story or chaos-nyx quest) that can delay getting the one you want

max out your bonds with them. you'll have to do different things for each of them. you can unlock all of them at this point except for demeter

but having demeter maxed out to the locked heart will count. you need to max out 6 olympian gods affinity to finish that prophecy

the unfortunate reality of creation myths (beyond simply greek myth) is that they need to be entirely rewritten if you truly want to erase incestual heritage. supergiant just tried to make it not quite as blatant as it typically is. more i could say about that but it diverges from being related to the game, but either way they made some changes for story reasons

I love Chaos and their whole... Chaos-ness but I must say I'm really confused about their pronouns in the German localization XD

I mean, it's literally just "they" but in German, except using that pronoun this way doesn't make a lot of sense in German

The German word for they is "sie" which also means "she" and "you" (the formal version of you). Throwing singular they in there as well is just super confusing

but I think there's definitely some dialogues that can get skipped if you progress too fast

Dionysus in Mycenean Greece was a god of madness, death and rebirth, and the wine was only relevant AFAIK in so far as it's intoxication was seen as becoming closer to that madness. The death and rebirth thing was important because Mycenean Greece was way more focused on death and the underworld overall
