There was but I think that specifically was an issue for him because the mother in question was 1) a goddess, and Themis at that, and 2) the resulting kid would have potential to overthrow him.

I don't think Zeus took any of his many demigod children seriously (at least in terms of being a threat to his rule). If I'm to speculate for a bit, Hephaestus's crippling at birth proves mighty convenient for Zeus so make of it what you will. Ares on the other side is rather violent but also predictable. Aphrodite being thrown into that mix does wonders to keep all three occupied. Though when one thinks of a god of war, love and invention at their strongest..

the olympians weren't told the whole truth because it was better for the relations of the family as a whole. so as far as they're aware, things are fine now in the underworld now that the family has come together. they don't know that zag can't leave the underworld, they don't know he's bound to the river, that he dies whenever he reaches the surface. the olympians are never informed of that detail. but yeah they like zag, and they like helping him. the greek gods by their nature are very in the moment and in the moment they dont mind assisting their new favourite family member in his new quest to help his father with underworld security. it was honestly a good way to explain the continued game loop after finishing all of the story content

Little trivia: If you do not immediately unlock the aspect given by the 4 non-house characters before you meet them again, they will try to push you to unlock that aspect again (assuming they don't have higher priority dialogue queued).

Zeus is the only one of the four that will nag you a second time about it if you still haven't done it.

I think its because dusa is based on Medusa so she's a floating head because Medusa got her head cut off and the other gorgons are floating heads too so it wouldn't really make sense if only one gorgon was simply a floating head
