Cross saves set up, my original save transferred to steam correctly from the switch. Next day I went to get on steam and none of my new progress was there. Cloud save still triggering on switch when I quit but not going to steam anymore.
IE holding muxh earlier runs shield on steam but recent run save/quit on switch was malphon gloves
You might need to restart the steam launcher. Also you can check https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage to see if the timestamps look right to you
More info: looks like if i launch from hades icon on pc I get no indicator of the problem but spawn in on the old save.
If I launch from steam I get notified of a save conflict and have to choose one.
Yeah, you definitely want to launch from within the steam client, it should give you the opportunity to resolve any conflicts. Sounds like your cloud saves are newer than what's on your PC
(as in, your cloud saves have your switch progress)
Yeah that's what it looks like. I just took the cloud progress. Does it not handle it seamlessly? I haven't been playing them simultaneously

Usually you shouldn't need to resolve a conflict after uploading from the switch, but if you aren't usually launching through the steam client that may be why
I bought a second copy of the game so I could play my switch save on pc but I can't get it to work. It says sync failed please check your connection. But I have internet and just downloaded the update with it. Do I need to have switch online service to use this?
Are you seeing 'sync failed' when you choose 'Play' on switch, or after you try to 'Sync & Quit'? Also, are you using Steam or Epic?
When I choose play. I'm using epic
There's no option for the sync and quit in game even though my epic shows as connected in the cross saves menu option
Yeah, if the sync fails at the start, it will run in offline mode. You're running into an issue a few other people have been getting. We're looking into the problem
You don't need Switch Online btw. Though I would double-check your internet connection on your Switch and restart your device
I've done both. Didn't change anything. For what it's worth I was able to update the game and log into my epic account on this internet connection
Yeah, sounds like the same problem. For now, if you could DM me your Hades.log (C:\Users\ you \Documents\Saved Games\Hades), this will help us in tracking down what's going on. Sorry I can't be of more help right now

Hey there! I was so excited to try out cross saves I overwrote my steam save with my switch save like a dummy 😦 I've gone through the steps of re-naming the backup saves and tried a few of them, even my oldest. They all load with the exact same game state from my switch save. Any ideas on where to go from here?
All of your .bak files are the same as your latest switch save? Can you show me a screenshot of the save folder? C:\Users\you\Documents\Saved Games\Hades

Is it intentional that the keepsake boons keep showing up on the unreachable erebus gates?
Some of the .bak files are there with different names from experimenting trying to fix it myself (like 2Profile.sav and Profile1(2).sav)
So in this case, you both should have Profile1.sav.bak and Profile1.v.sav.bak and Profile1_Temp.sav.bak . Basically what you want to do is remove the .bak and the game should be able to load them @runic scaffold
Of course, before you do the renaming, I'd copy the entire folder to a safe place so you can always go back to it

If you load the game on PC, is the save in slot 1 during a run, or at the house of hades? It might be defaulting to the mid-run save (Profile1_Temp.sav)

OK that makes sense. So you probably need to rename the Profile1.v.sav.bak to Profile1.v.sav and possibly remove the Profile1_Temp.sav from that folder
Again, I'm assuming you backed up everything before you started renaming files. Good to do that now before you do anything else

Ok, so that didn't work for me either, but get this - For grins and giggles I deleted my save folder (with a backup of course) and ran Hades through Steam. Same save file, no issue.

Ah, I have an idea what might be happening here. When you launch Hades again, the steam client will sync and it might undo or overwrite the changes you made in file explorer
Let's try launching Hades first, then alt-tabbing at the main menu, then restoring the .bak files. From there, you should be able to click Play and hopefully see a backup save in the profile list

So, me and my brother both have hades, on the same computer, not the same account. Now, reccently, our save datas got switched, now his progress is on my account, and my progress is on his account. Is there any way you guys can fix this? Its quite annoying
Saves are located in Documents\Saved Games\Hades - you should be able to just swap them from your account to his and vice versa
@thick lava I'm having the Epic => Switch sync fail as some other people in this thread. Should I send you my logs as well?
I also recommend using different save slots, to prevent anything like that from happening again

Hey guys, apologies if I missed the answer in this thread but I'm having trouble with cross-save between NS and Epic. I‘ve successfully connected to Epic from Switch and got cross-save enabled. But whenever I hit the play button on switch, it turns out to be a sync fail just like @maiden yew had described. What can I do then ?

Hello everyone,
I started experiencing awful performance all of a sudden and I've been able to fix it, so I decided to chime in here.
I'm on a 1080ti and threadripper 1950x and a 144Hz g-sync monitor.
Up until now I've had pretty much flawless performance.
Yesterday my experienced got rather awful. Rtss reported anywhere between 70 and 90 fps but the frame times must have been awful. It didn't look like 70 or 90 fps, it looked like 20, especially when the chambers were scrolling on screen. When it was just Zag moving through doors it looked smooth enough. From time to time the game hitched and stuttered. All in all there seemed to be a delay on all actions and the stuttering was very prominent.
The game was playable I suppose, but my eyes got tired quickly and the experience was altogether unpleasant.
I'm not sure which of the following actions caused the problem, maybe just one, maybe a combination.

The most obvious thing: I updated my geforce driver from v 456.38 to the current 460.89.

At the same time my Windows automatically installed four updates: KB4586878, KB4580980, KB4023057 and KB4592449.
As per the tech-fixes thread suggestions I've tried disabling G-sync, V-sync, toggling full screen and borderless mode.
I've had maximum performance set in geforce settings. These changes didn't fix it.
What fixed it for me:
I've decided to revert to my old nvidia driver and this did the trick.
I used DDU in safe mode to remove the driver and installed v 456.38.
Fps went to 330-600 if I leave it unlimited.
Maybe my driver update didn't install correctly. Maybe one of those windows patches somehow conflicts with the new driver. As much as the win updates may seem irrelevant I decided to share, since I didn't test the game with only the gpu driver updated (without the win updates).

This situation appears both on my PC and on the Switch 🥲 I understand normally this means my inner network situation is to blame BUT my Internet linkage works perfectly in any other apps and games except Hades. Maybe there's sth wrong in the server?

I mentioned/asked yesterday that the game feels very laggy and unresponsive on the switch when using Aspect of ||Arthur||, especially when maps are crowded. I never tried it prior to the patch released on the Switch the other day so I don't know if this is how the aspect is supposed to feel or not. But it doesn't feel like this is how it's meant to be.
I've now tried some more with it, restarted the game, the switch and all things you would do to eliminate other possibilities. It still feels very wrong to me, so I feel it's worth mentioning for others to look at.
I guess we're halfway there .😆 Somehow it worked on PC at first as my save can link to the sync server smoothly. But when I hit the play button on Switch then, the Sync process failed immediately, displaying the message that sth is wrong with my connection. So I log out my Epic account from Switch and log in again , then it worked perfectly on Switch. However, this time it was the sync process on PC that failed 🥲

Wait, perhaps I can have a try by following Ian's procedure to change my Epic passwd. I guess the key error lies in Epic's account service maybe.🧐 I 'll be back if there is any progress.
it's important that the main stuff of infinite loading is gone
it seems that the connection can sometimes fail and sometimes succeed now, we're investigating that together with Epic

I even logged out of my steam account on PC and logged back in using my credentials and it worked on PC

Sorry, I may have misunderstood. Steam Guard can be used with Steam Cloud, there should be no issues with it. This may be related to a Captcha or something else, what is the exact error message you are receiving?
How does the cross save handle multiple save instances? I have my save on EGS, and one on switch, will it need to overwrite them? Right now it seems to just be syncing them separately and I literally can't keep the switch file deleted. But it doesn't seem to be affecting my save on EGS. I'd be a bit upset losing that progress.
It will need to overwrite them (you choose which), but you can move your EGS save to a different slot
My brother and I share a computer, and we both play Hades. We use the family share feature on Steam, which is why I assume we have a problem.
At some point his file overwrote mine, I’m assuming because we both used profile slot 1. I switched his file over to slot 2, but we still find our progress being overwritten sometimes.
We can still usually find a backup save to force into the game, but is there anyway we can avoid this hassle?

Ok I had the wrong steam PW, but now after 5 hours, Hades crossSave is saying I've had too many attempts. How long does it take before I'm allowed to reauthenticate?

Hey people! I have a question about cross saves.
I own Hades on PC and switch. I have enabled cross save between the two systems. On PC, I have save files in slots 1, 3, and 4. On switch, I had a save file on slot 1 only.
When I use cross save on switch, my PC save slots 3 and 4 appear on my Switch, accompanied by "Green Cloud Checkmark" icons. However, save slot 1 does not appear to sync my PC data, and is accompanied by a "Yellow Cloud Question Mark" icon. How can I get my PC save in slot 1 over to my switch properly?
I suspect that if I delete my Switch save slot 1, then my PC save slot 1 will sync properly. But I do not want to delete my Switch save slot 1 unless I know this will be the case. Any help?
if you press "play" on slot one, it should give you a popup to choose which save you want to keep (cloud = PC, local = switch)

I must be overlooking something, where is the menu option to enable cloud saving? I have cloud saving enabled in the Epic client, but it doesn't look like I've ever cloud-saved any of my Hades files. I looked through the Settings menu both from the main menu and within the game itself but am not seeing a cloud save option.
Hello I'm having problems with cross save not working for me between Switch and PC (EGS). My save is on Switch and I want to get it on PC. I connected to my EGS account through the cross-save menu on the Switch. However I don't seem to have any options to sync my save anywhere. Every time I go to the Play menu from the start menu it tries to Sync but fails every time.

Aha. Figured out what went wrong. I’ve got a shortcut directly to Hades on my desktop and I guess I have not opened it through Epic’s launcher even once since 1.0. Opened it from EGS now, got the pop-up about enabling cloud saves, my PC and my Switch seem to be seeing each other now. Thanks!
Hi! My cross save is not working. I connected Steam, Then I go to Play and it always say "Sync failed. Please check your connection". I tried everything, my Steam is updated, my copy of Hades on both platforms are updated, I closed the game, opened it again, many times. I have my Nintendo Online subscription in order. I tried to play a complete run anyways, save it, and then try the sync again, just in case, but no dice. 😦

I’m getting logged out of Epic a lot (while playing / every time I suspend or resume the game) on my switch, but I think I’ll wait for the next patch/post before doing a proper bug report 🙂
are you getting a notification about being logged out, or are you just noticing it?
There’s a cloud disconnect icon that occurs during my play through and then the menu goes back to “connect to <steam/epic games>”
how stable is your internet connection?
I don't think that would be causing an issue for this, but it could be (if it's not very stable, that is)
Very stable on other consoles. I play destiny 2 multiplayer a lot. There might be an issue with my switch’s wireless connection perhaps but I’m not sure how to validate that (maybe I can try Mario Kart online. I only just got the switch)

Yup! Both Epic and Steam have Cloud Saves you can enable, but you can also move them manually by copying all of the files in Documents / Saved Games / Hades and moving them to the other PC

My cross-saves are not working Switch to PC. I played my steam save on Switch for a few hours tonight and when quitting the game I received the error "Sync failed. Please check your connection". My Switch was connected to the internet. I tried restarting the game, and my switch, and whenever I select "Play" from the main menu it shows the same "Sync failed. Please check your connection" error.

There isn't an ETA that I know of. As for losing progress, the game should still save just fine, it just won't be the same across devices
Will there be any issue with a save being lost due to the platforms being out of sync once the issue is fixed? For example, one platform's save being removed and replaced with anothers on the next successful sync.
Are you trying to keep both saves, or use just one save on both devices?
I want one for both devices, I purchased Hades on Switch today solely for the cross-save capability.

Right now, there isn't that I know--what exactly happened? And how far along were you on the Switch?
There should be instructions within the game itself on the Switch. Look for a sub-menu called Cross-Saves

I connected my switch game to my Epic account, and uploaded that save. Moved over to PC and didn't find my switch save present in Slot 1 (as i had a PC save there) loaded the PC save and was asked to sync when trying to quit, which seemed to overwrite my save slot 1, and now on my switch I can only see my PC save. ( i had beaten the game several times (over 80+ hours) worth of playtime on switch. To me it looks like it's completely lost my switch save...annoying but I guess it is what it is..

and then start up and close down Steam to update the cloud

Hi! I'm unable to have my game cross-save from switch to pc, I've linked my steam account, my internet connection is good, I have no interfering save slot and the sync failed message continues to pop up. I have steam cloud enabled, I double checked most of the troubleshooting options it gives on switch and both games are up to date. I'm basically unsure of where to go from here.
just wanna say for future ref if some1 else is having problems like me: I had an x over the cloud icon and it said "connection error" so I disconnected my steam, restarted my switch, & signed back in and now it's working so!! if that helps any1, that was good advice swan

I had both up, but I'm mostly looking at the switch. I had to update my game on steam before I started it on Thursday, the 17th, but I didn't see the cross save option there in the menu

Anyone else having issues with Hades syncing your save data from Steam? I'm going from PC to Nintendo Switch. I linked my account and whenever I go to play it says it was unable to retrieve my data.

So I had open Hades on Steam, load my save game, and then sync. This worked for me!

I actually just tried again and the sync worked, I had deleted my PC save to allow the cloud save to take over, but the file actually stayed and keeps reappearing. I was able to move it over to profile 2, but it's duplicated and I'm sifting through the saved games file to make sure everything is properly moved over so I can then figure out how to access the cloud save file from switch 
I keep having intermittent sync issues. It's worked a couple times but fails more than works. I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting steam, quitting Hades on switch and restarting it. Disabling/re-enabling wifi, etc to no avail... It was failing a lot earlier, worked once or twice and is now back to failing. Definitely not a seamless experience.

Okay, so I want to know if the Guan Yu Spear is supposed to work like it is working right now...
I mean... at Lv.1 it gives a lot less HP, meaning you are forced to Level it up to Max to actually not die
And I know it has a Regeneration Mechanic in its Spin Attack, but its kinda hard to pull off when you have such low health, especially in Boss Battles
So may be I was thinking if you'd put some regeneration in its Special/Heavy Attack too, then it would balance out the weapon overall
Like I mean 1 Point Regeneration on 1-Hit of Attack or Special would do wonders... as of now you literally are like a Super Weak Glass Canon

Bonheur games are up to date.

So I rebooted my switch earlier (after it was suggested), and now the EGS cloud saves are staying enabled, but after syncing from my switch -> EGS, and then playing on my PC - my switch isn’t able to download from the cloud. I’ve tried restarting the switch - the only thing left i can think of is disconnecting and reconnecting the EGS connection

I’ve done a few more tests - so i:
- Logged out and back into EGS
- Game sync’ed fine, was able to select “Cloud” and resume where my PC was
- Moved one room and did a “Save & Quit” - cloud save icon came up and the save worked.
- Slept the Switch.
- Resumed the switch
At this point the cloud save icon came up and then showed a red X (indicating failure?) if i go back to the cross-saves menu, it doesn’t seem to show me being logged into EGS
If i then reboot the switch (Restart) or close hades and restart it - the cloud save icon comes up at boot, but fails (and cloud saves can’t be accessed) but now my cross-saves menu gives me the option to disconnect from Epic Games (whereas before, after i slept the switch, it would say “connect to epic games”)
I’m going to try and reconnect and play a run and see if I lose my EGS connection during the run (I think this happened when i initially connected)
I don’t know if this goes here but I encountered a bug.
I picked a room for coins and after killing the last enemy, I immediately press the button that picks up the item. The noise for the coin being picked up happened, but I didn’t get 100 coins. I didn’t get any. I wasn’t sure if it was because I picked it up too fast or another bug.
So after the run, i was able to save just fine.
After sleeping and reloading the game things still work.
After restarting the game... things are still working!

Noticed that if you have Skelly's tooth equipped and have already used its charge but then get a DD restored from Charon's Well, Zag still procs the Skelly's Tooth voice line when the restored DD gets used up. Not sure if this was a one-off or not though.

Hi! Ive been trying to connect my steam account on the Switch to enable cross saves, but I had forgotten my steam password for a bit and put in the wrong one a good amoutn of times, til it started giving me a message: "There have been too many login failures from this network. Please wait and try again later."
I did finally get my password right, i believe, but it still gives me that message every time I try to put in my steam info. Ive tried waiting a full 24 hours between attempts, and tried turning my switch off then on again, turning wifi off then on again, and uninstalling and reinstalling hades on the switch, but it gives me that message every time. Any advice?

i'm not sure if this is expected behavior with cross-saves or not. on Switch, i did what is necessary for the "bad call" achievement, and was hoping that would unlock when i logged in to hades on PC/Steam, but it didn't. i'm guessing the save file might not keep track of that type of thing?
yeah, that achievement is one you should have to do again on steam. only story achievements unlock when loading up your save, ones you can reasonably achieve again in a run like bad call and haste of hermes for example wont transfer

I just bought the game on the epic store, to go with the version I have on switch already
I want to use the cross saves and have done all the switch-side setup and that is working well, but sadly I can't launch from the EGS
I can launch from the .exe just fine but that doesn't sync cloud saves correctly which defeats the purpose of getting this on pc as well!
I have tried everything from the tech fixes channel except a complete reinstall, so I thought I'd come here to ask if there were any leads before I have to sacrifice my slow internet to another download

The devs are aware of some issues with cross-save syncing. Are you sure you have it set up correctly on your Switch?
Okay. What are you trying to do, then? Cross-saves is for between Epic/Steam and Switch
If you check the options -> settings, there should be a way to disable cross-saves, which should prevent that from showing up
transmit data or epic service?
Epic Services will turn off cross-saves, but it will also turn off cloud saves. I thought there was a specific setting for cross-saves, sorry

?And include in the text field that you only have the game on Epic, so you're not actually trying to set up cross-saves

Hello, can anyone help me with this? I activated the option "extreme measures" with the contractor to see what it was, but I couldn't leave in time and was saved. Is there a way to delete a file so I can play it again without this extreme measures option? Because it will hinder all my progress in the game.I don't want to play with that extreme measures option enabled.
it's not automatically enabled. You can control whether or not it's active from the Pact of Punishment menu

You don't currently have Extreme Measure's enabled. The only Condition you have enabled is Personal Liability, which is locked for Hell Mode

I uninstalled then re-downloaded, sadly it had the same issue.
However I thought as a last attempt I would move the game from my E: drive where I keep all the games to my C: drive just in case it made a difference. I followed the guide below and moved it over and to my surprise it worked straight away and cross saves populated immediately, not sure of the cause of this bug but problem solved at least!

I'm not sure how it could've been enabled if you're not using Hell Mode. You could try reverting to an older save using the steps towards the end of #h1-tech-fixes , except instead of grabbing the most recent file, use a file from before you purchased that option.

So still no luck. It has been over 24 hours, and my Steam through Switch authentication is still hanging. Tried restarting switch, airplane mode, double checked PW etc.

Hey, I'm trying to move my Switch data over to PC (Epic) and I'm having some trouble. I enabled cross-saves on Switch and played a couple rooms on a new run to make sure it would save. I had a save file in slot 1 on both PC and Switch, so I tried renaming Profile1.sav to Profile2.sav as is recommended in the switch cross-saves menu. But all that did was copy my PC save file over to both slots 1 and 2. I tried deleting all my saves on my PC (I'm really only attached to my Switch save), and when I started the game back up it just pulled that PC save, still duplicated, from the cloud. What am I doing wrong?
I really don't want to overwrite my Switch save with my PC one, but vice versa is fine.

Hi, I own the game on switch and PC. The save game from switch was uploaded to steam but not vice versa (PC-Data is not availabe on the switch). There is a cloud with a question mark. I tried to log out from steam on the switch ond log in again. But nothing changed. How can I get my savefile from PC to the switch (the date of the savegame on PC ist 12.20. on switch 12.18)?
if you select the save slot with the question mark, it should prompt you to resolve a conflict. While looking on the Switch, "Local" is the save on the switch, "Cloud" is your PC save

@SupergiantGames I think the cross save function just deleted my 70 hour playthrough of Hades? Instead of loading my Switch save into the PC version, it overwritted it with the random 1 attempt game I started how well it ran on PC. Nice 🙃

Hello all, I’m currently running the game in god mode but my 20% resistance is clearly not enough for beating the final boss and I’d really like to progress quickly, would there be any possibility to manually modify my save in order to get more than the 28% resistance I currently have… FYI, I’m not afraid of editing binary files 🙂

(BTW, if there is a way to raise damages instead of resistance, that’d be perfect, I really feel the game would be funnier for me with more damage 🙂 )
Hello- I activated cross save on switch with epic games - unfortunately did not read the readme prior- logged in to epic and it replaced my switch save with my epic save (lost 30+ hours)- is my original switch save gone for good?
I noticed a small bug with codex (it identified my cast as a normal one (-shot) cast instead of ||gilgamesh's -flares||).
I also just lost my progress because my new game save file from switch transferred to my steam, and not the other way around :(. Please help.

@clear token @tulip wave There is currently not a way to recover lost data on the Switch. However, the devs have put together some "save packs" that I can send you based on your progress so far (I won't be able to do that right now because I'm on mobile, but I can later today)
Check the end of #h1-tech-fixes —there are some steps for recovering progress on PC
Once you play, then exit the game, they should show up the next time

Oh, and also something I noticed - when you kill the last enemy in a chamber, you get a really cool slow-mo effect when the reward pops up, but this effect has always been really choppy for me (like spreading the 60 frames in 3 seconds instead of rendering 180 frames in 3 seconds) I don't know if it's intentional or not, but I thought it was worth mentioning

It's Switch issue. The build-in browser is rly limited. So I recommend to try login using Epic authentication.

If you login only using Google(or other) , then use PC or phone to create Epic password on their site.
When you will have epic password then you can login on switch using epic authentication
(I would give what opelit suggested a try as well)

Yep, I checked, there is a folder called saved games and a hades folder inside, bur there is no profile. Just on PC

Nope
Alright. I've got a pretty quick fix for this--I can send you a set of existing save files I have, then when you open up the Play menu in-game, delete that save and start a new one in the same slot. That should help the game start saving your progress

Epic doesn't have a way to manually check cloud storage, unfortunately, and if your save files aren't showing up, then it didn't save

Is there any way I can move the save file to my Switch, and then from my Switch onto my new EG account after I repurchase a new copy of Hades?
Two things--yes you can, as you should be able to unlink the shared account and link to your new account.
Second, will you be playing on the same computer as before?
Oh I see! So when I log into my sister's EG account on my Switch to get the cross-saves, I can then unlink it and just keep the data locally in my Switch until I link onto my new EG account?
Also, I use my laptop (and I always have)! My sister just logs into her account on my laptop! I have my own EG account already, but she has the only copy of Hades, so every time she logs into her EG on her separate laptop, it boots me & my computer off her account and I have to ask her continuously to log in again... ahah

Yeah, that'll make the transition smoother (getting it on your account, then just linking from that to your switch), so that you don't need to link and unlink and link again to the new account

I got Hades for my Switch yesterday and tried out the cross-save feature - logged in to Steam, got the saves - works great!
But I was wondering... what happens to Steam achievements if I keep playing on the Switch? Do I get them once a save is booted on PC or how does this work?
You'll get any Narrative achievements once you load the save on the PC. Other achievements (such as the Hermes keepsake achievement), you'll need to get on the PC for Steam to acknowledge them
All except the last two are narrative

@bitter kiln Does your Switch clock match the current time/date? Sometimes time travel may create issues with sync. You can also try to restart your console.

Hey folks, I've noticed this on my PC as well as multiple screenshots in this channel, since the December patch - these bright green/purple edges to textures and other artefacts, like that mess on the black walls on the upper right. I've also seen people shrug it off as art style, but I could swear it was less pronounced before the patch. Like something went wrong with alpha channel, or some weird palette conversion...
naturally, I tried validating files, reinstalling, as well as several previous versions of AMD drivers
this is definitely just the art style, i just compared it with a video from december 2018 and the colorful highlights were always there
I don't think they were always that colorful, comparing to a few review videos. Plus, the flashing green garbage on those black walls definitely wasn't there when I started playing

hey tech support! i got nervous during the first sync from switch and i believe i overwrote my 8 hour save file. i checked and it already was synchronized with the steam cloud. i tried the local backups and none corresponded with date i would expect. is there any way to retrieve this from the cloud?
Probably not from the cloud, but I'd still check some of those .sav.bak files. Before that, I'd copy all of your save files into a backup folder

i can get steam's general controller settings to recognize that it is there. the 'controller settings' on hades doesn't seem to detect it. the software usually recognizes the controller being plugged in by usb but is not right now

Unless you saved a backup copy, I would just rename it. Take your current Profile1.sav and rename it to Profile1_old.sav. Then take your current Profile1 (2).sav and rename it to Profile1.sav

Yeah--what that settings means is that the files aren't actually stored on your computer. When you go to open them, you have to redownload them from the cloud. However, programs that indirectly access files (such as Hades) aren't recognized, so the files don't get downloaded

I closed the game, deleted profile1 and all temp files
and rename the profile 2 to profile 1
they're different renderers. DirectX will work better on some devices, Vulkan will work better on others

All I've noticed is that 32 bit won't acknowledge my controller inputs

Yup, Steam Cloud is being funky.
Make a new folder, call it something like "backup". Then copy Profile2.sav into it (this is just in case something goes wrong).
Then try this--do all of those file name changes while the game is open (just looking at the main menu, not "Jogar"). Then open Jogar up again
There are some things you can try in #h1-tech-fixes about controller input, that might help?

Hello, I'm sorry if this has been brought up before but i'm very new at manipulating game files and such. My main version is the switch version. I just bought the steam version to do cross save. I connect my steam profile to my switch while the game was downloading but when I started the steam version, I seen no option for cross save and such so I started a new game. played that for a min and quit where the game created a save file. after multiple restarts, I still couldnt see my switch save on steam abut I looked on switch and now the steam version has overwritten my switch save. can I still get my switch save back?
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to directly access the save files on the Switch, so probably not. However, the devs have put together some save packs to help people bounce back after losing progress, if you'd like to take a look at that

How do I play without the last option of the punishment pact (personal liability)? I created another hell mode from the beginning, but personal liability still continues. Will I have to delete the main progression that activated personal liability to be able to play without? Delete the game and install again? I just want to go back to playing hell mode without that last option, even if I have to start all over again, please help.

I got the Ice Wine duo boon (Dionysus first, then Demeter) and I notice that I see Zag doing the motion of throwing like with Trippy Shot and then just suddenly the Ice Wine aoe appears where my cursor is.

As far as I'm aware, that's just how it's always been--the same delay exists even with the Hera Aspect, even though the base Dionysus Cast appears instantly

If you're using the Cross-Save feature, any changes you make to the save file (as in, your progress and stats) will be reflected on the Switch. Any modifications you make to the script files (which is what most mods do) will not show up on the Switch. Depending on the mods you're running, it could potentially cause issues on the Switch
Its been a few runs since zag has mastered the lyre on my current save file. I dont know why but the dialogue with orphy thats needed to complete the complete the prophecy doesnt pop up

Since the update to enable cross-platform save, I am unable to sync my Epic games and Switch saves. I have successfully connected my Epic Games account to my Nintendo, but when I start a game the sync does not work and the game asks me to check my internet connection, however it does work.
I specify that I have 4 slots occupied on PC, and I would like to overwrite my switch backup on the first Epic slot. I tried unsuccessfully to delete the first slot to see if that would change anything, but the cloud is still downloading the latest known version to me. Finally, renaming the files does not allow me to free the slot, I do not know if this is the reason for the conflict. Anyone have any idea to help me solve the problem?
I eventually got to setting up a password on Epic and everything is working just fine with my cross-save now. Thanks! 😊
@tame ridge Is your Switch clock currently synced with the actual time? Resyncing your clock might help resolve this issue. You can also try restarting your console.
Or the console have different time zone, but Idk if the game also saves time zone in the save data.

All versions of Hades save in the same directory; you shouldn't need to move anything! Your saves will be there when you boot the Steam version

I'm using Hades on Steam on my mac computer. I'm connecting my PS4 controller and noticed the analog stick is very inaccurate for movement. It doesn't change my direction unless I move it >45 degrees or so in another direction. I also have steam using the native controller options in the steam configuration. Is there anything I can do to make my controller more sensitive and accurate?
For example, if I move my stick up and to the right at 45 degrees, then move it down to 90 degrees to walk horizontally, Zagreus will continue to move at a 45 degree angle and ignore my input to move sideways

hi, I havent played in a few weeks and just went to play today after the cross- save update and noticed about a half second delay after using some ot the weapon abilities like the spin attack from the spear and the special ability from the hidden aspect of the sword.

update on this, it took just one more run to get it to proc. For some reason it only got triggered after I failed a run, which happened for the first time in a good bit. Maybe there is some sort of conflict there. Either way, it's solved for me

Bug report: on the switch, hades will occasionally just give up and die: the screen will freeze up, and the music will just keep happening in the background. First time was mid-fight, at a point where there was a lot of stuff happening on screen; second time was during a transition between rooms.

So I bought this game on the Epic Games store and was having weird performance issues with the base game... after a fresh reboot the game ran perfectly, but if I put my machine to sleep and woke it back up, the game would be a stuttering mess until I rebooted. I read the tech fixes channel here and tried the Vulkan version and it does not have the issue... however, I didn't see a way to launch the Vulkan version from the Epic Games Launcher, so I am just launching the exe. But now it doesn't seem to be syncing my saves to the cloud?
Check your settings in Big Picture Mode, though it is possible that Hades still won't recognize them

Unfortunately, Epic does not have a way to track multiple startup modes like Steam does. Currently, there is not a way I know of to launch the Vulkan version through Epic, which is why your saves aren't going to the cloud

hey all i just bough Hades on steam after playing on switch. when booted for the first time i go to use steam cloud sync to download my save, after setting up my switch and uploading the save, but steam fails the cloud download and shows me this in the cloud saves log. So funny story,
Just bought the game from the Winter Sale, having a blast, and giving Cerberus a pet after my most recent run.
As soon as Zag finished the animation, the game crashed.
I believe it might've been me holding A and S as the animation was playing to get a slight move on that caused it, but I'm not sure.
Doing some testing, seems petting the dog and trying to move in a certain way completely kills the DirectX version of Hades.
Had to boot the game in Vulkan and fiddle with some settings to get it running and at a playable frame rate.

I'm being hit with a progress resetting bug. I play in short spurts, and when I close the game (assume the auto save worked) when I came back (and start the game again), Progress is resets to the beginning of the run and I'm back running in the room with Skelly. I think it happens near the end of the first segment.
I don't have cross save enabled (yet). And it has happened since the last patch.

@sharp narwhal Hi! You probably don't remember me but I submitted a ticket regarding the fact that I am not able to get the Prophecy concerning Patroclus and Achilles. You reviewed my ticket and very kindly told me that my save did not contain any immediately apparent problems and that I had fulfilled all the requirements for it to trigger. You mentioned that it was odd that I do not even have the entry on the Prophecy list and that I should send another ticket when I met Patroclus again if the prohecy didn't trigger. I realize some time has passed but I stopped playing for a bit. Now I'm back. and I finally got to Patroclus gain and still nothing. I realize that we're in the middle of the Holidays and you may not be working. I do not mean to inconvenience you or any other QA, I just thought I'd mention it. But I am i no hurry and kinda embarrassed that I am bringing this up when people are off work. The ticket is already submitted and I made sure to mention my discord username on it this time.

i just checked, and maybe it a problem with my steam...? my steam appereantly does not remember the last 3 hours i waws on the game, and also some achievments
I tried to run as admin but didnt work
I even reinstall it but it wasnt any better
Hello Tech support folks. My PC bluescreened in the middle of a game and now loading the game doesn't show my saved progress (just a start for a new game). I tried restoring all the old .sav files to Profile1.sav, but that has the same result. Is there anything else I can try?
