And scaling from Chaos + Hermes mostly

Another commonly used build, and sort of the most consistent in terms of lategame damage is Merciful End, starting with Ares attack then Athena Special -> ME -> Divine Dash + Impending
Hermes is still important but a little less reliance on Dedge and Chaos
If you get them tho they're amazing obviously
For an overall strong build you can start with Heartbreak Strike then look for Divine Flourish and later on maybe Divine Dash + a Call for Smoldering Air
Very defensive due to damage reduction and Athena's Special and also not reliant on Duos
Wants Dedge too
Every Nemesis build is gonna want Dedge, it's just more about how important it is, when your sword base damage is what's doing most of the work you really want Dedge more than anything else, when other sources are doing the work, for example Doom in the case of ME it's manageable without Dedge

Can try to skip gods. Afaik you’re capped at about 4 gods (excluding Hermes and Chaos), so once you accepted 4 different god boons, those are the only gods you’ll see as chamber rewards for rest of the game. So skip new ones when possible til Ares comes up.
Other than that just sounds like weird luck

I found that with the bow, getting Ares or Dio on special is nice so you can inflict extra damage on multiple enemies at once. Then yeah, Athenas Dash if you're like me and suck at dodging, so any of their keepsakes. Then like Bananas said, Aphro on attack does good. Mind you, I suck at bow so anything that gives extra damage is what I go for.

It’s probably because you met the criteria for some time and the second you unlocked Guan Yu (since that’s a shared prerequisite for the others), you quickly ran into everyone else to unlock the remaining. It’s a different person for each unlock iirc
