sometimes it stops em sometimes they hit me and stop me from usng the special

you can always just dash in and around it, keeping melee enemies in contact with it while dodging ranged/projectiles
dont even need to hit with it, just put it down as a safe zone before anything comes near you
also with arthur it's super important to learn to dash in between swings
keeps you out of harms way and keeps you mobile enough to kill a bunch of enemies in different places with one combo
make use of shadow presence when you can

TD2 is pretty manageable, it takes practice. I usually dont look at the timer till i am through each region bc i have noticed that i get more stressed and make more mistakes if i do look at it

If you keep mashing your attack buttons you're gonna facetank some stuff and facetanking stuff usually wastes time
If you want to clear a room effectively you're looking for a good route across the room first and foremost, one that makes your enemies come from 1 direction only, and that leaves you next to your next / in a corner once the wave is done
And afterwards you're looking at your rhythm and the way you deal with those enemies
Something like Hestia will really show clunkyness when you're not cancelling reloads etc
Or Beowulf if you keep doing standing strikes
So accuracy with your inputs is quite important

There are some situations where I do like Artemis attack even on slow attacks. Such as Guan Yu special in my hitless runs, since I’m resetting for CSkewer and also using chaos egg and rolling aggressively for special chaos. With a chunky special boon from chaos, I’ll be fine hitting breakpoints and be able to kill bosses faster. Also Hunter’s Mark
But I still don’t like it on Hestia

Yeah, that's pretty normal the first few times when you go for a challenge like that to get nervous especially during the Hades fight. You'll do worse in the fight than you normally do.
But the more often you get to him on 32 Heat, the more comfortable you'll be in the fight.

Well, it depends on multiple things, some weapons really like an early hammer, some don't scale as greatly from chaos so the chance of seeing something good is not as high, as for the trial it depends on the gods in there and what I expect to get from them
Trials can also be risky later in biomes like in Elysium
Because enemies are tougher so you'd have to judge based on how well you think you can handle them
