biggest reason i never really played much in docked mode bc i felt like just shoving the joycons into that small thing that's included with your switch didn't feel great in my hands

Yo circe! I've been having the Switch for like 4 years now and I bought the Pro Controller maybe 3 years ago? It was a good investment and you know, Nintendo hardware being made of nintendium rarely breaks (except for the hate cons -.-). So from my experience I can say you will have a good time with your new controller 😄
It is not extra slim like PS4 controller so it sits in your hands better and it has a nice weight to it, but it doesn't get bothersome after hours of playing unless your biceps are just two potatos

I'm about to play Hades today for the first time and it's gonna be on PC. I'm reading your discussion on how it is better to play with a controller so I started looking if there is a way to connect my Switch's Pro Controller to PC and dig this; I found an article which started "Yes you can connect it to PC but it requires some work" and then it follows up along the lines:
Step 1: Connect one end of the cable to the controller
Step 2: Connect the other end to the PC
There you have it!
I know not everyone is tech savy, but I haven't facepalmed so hard at an article for soooo long 😄

As a challenge I wanted to see how few runs it would take me to get to credits. I'll never do a 1st attempt escape, but got it on the 2nd (spiked collar, 1xDD and 2 dashes). Now done 10 runs (9 escapes) and about to finish. Surprisingly managed to unlock the entire mirror on the way and got weapon aspects.

If you're playing on a TV, see if it has something like a "gaming mode" that you can turn on. It will disable most of the post-processing that TVs do to improve the image, and that will reduce display lag a lot.
Which helps a lot with reactions.

There have been cases where affinity or dialogue progression was bugged before. They've all been patched now, but there still might be the odd bug maybe that slipped by because it only happens if the dialogue progressed in this or that specific order or whatever...

Nighty Night sometimes felt like 50% Cast builds and 50% Chaos Aspect lol. And Cold Embrace and Freezing Vortex were added in the patch after that.
Come to think of it, they were only compatible during the technical beta for Blood Price for a short while, where we got some of the most recent game builds they had, so maybe they were never meant to be compatible and they just hadn't gotten around to it yet in that particular build.

If you set up your crystals in a triangle and just fight a bunch of enemies inside, your beams will always hit something.

The benefit of it in more melee or conventional combat is that it triggers the boon effect way more than other shields, and also triggers damage way faster
Kiting works surprisingly fine though. You really want rush though

You're also only looking at the downside of yourself having to manage the beams, but there's also the upside of your beams being able to rotate to change targets way faster than with Crystal Clarity or without either Duo Boon.
It's not necessarily a problem even if Crystal Clarity is better.

Read what they do and take the one that sounds most appealing. In general fast hitting low damage aspects like fists and rail love Zeus or Dionysus while chonky weapons prefer something w a flat percent buff the highest of which is aphro and Artemis is a solid choice too if a crit aspect. Dash, Poseidon and Athena are far and away the best. But experiment, that’s the whole point 🙂

Strong builds are Merciful End with Curse of Agony, Divine Flourish, and Divine Dash; Smoldering Air with Heartbreak Strike, Zeus' Aid, and probably either Divine Dash or Tidal; and for Nemesis, Heart Rend with Deadly Strike, Heartbreak Flourish, and Hunter Dash.
And in all of those builds, you'll want to try to get as many Lunge and Strike boons from Master Chaos as you can.

If you’re swapping to weapons you aren’t as good at, that’s natural. Also due to the RNG nature of the game some runs are just DOA and you get wasted by trash fury (I’m coming sacred crocodile friends) that’s normal and part of the game too. If you want to practice gotta set deliberate goals (I want to work on tight deadline 3, I wanna figure out how the aspect of beowulf works) etc. just playing will of course improve your game, but what are you trying to improve?

there's a short window that's centred around the flash of light coming from the bobber where you can catch legendary fish
i think it's around 0,3 seconds
you have to time it as close as possible to the flash/sound to get the rarer fish
