Elysium is quite a big difficulty curve. And noone beats the boss on their very first try. Just keep going and you'll get it

also, there is nothing wrong with that, i personally love playing with the same builds and keepsakes every time. but i have invested a lot of time into the game. if you are just starting out i do recommend experimenting and leveling up your keepsakes so you have lots of options if you ever do want to use something else

heat numbers were way different (max was 200, iirc) and adding heat made you gain bonus darkness (this was before bounties were implemented). heat was also a collectible resource and the pact had to be unlocked with keys.

aim for the bull guy first, punchable face guy has a shield so it's harder to hit him. There are a lot of indication whenever he wants to throw his spear, keep your eyes and ears peeled then hide behind a pillar.

hypnos can take a while because thanatos tends to prioritize dialogue with other characters, its unfortunately a common issue for an already time consuming questline that relies heavily on seeing thanatos during a run

Nectar gives you poms, Gemstones give you obols, Chthonic Keys give you rerolls, Darkness gives you max HP and potentially healing. All of the other options can help you get more damage.

Spending money on Darkness for healing also means you might not have enough for a boon or a pom or some other item that can give you DPS.

You can upgrade all of the blue laurel rewards to also give you something that helps with your run. Nectars will give you a random +1 level to one of your boons, etc. The stuff I was talking about.

I think as any aspect, it's fine that one aspect in the game is as weak as Gilgamesh. It's good enough for winning games and most high heat stuff, even though it's a lot more difficult than other aspect.

But I think it's a problem that a hidden aspect is so bad that top players consider it the worst aspect in the game or at the very least a clear contender for worst aspect in the game.

m glad you think it's cool, at least. I pretty much stopped maining Malphon because I was so underwhelmed by Gilgamesh when it came out. It was obvious from the start that it was worse than the other Malphon aspects.

Unique is fine, but I don't know if uniquely bad is a good thing.

Global damage is good, but the bonus damage from Gilgamesh is additive while most bonus damage is already additive, and for that, +25% is just extremely low when your enemies get +50%. The high base damage on the Attack is screaming for a good % Attack, but flat damage scales way better with global damage bonus. Dash-Attacks are so weak while the normal Attack combo has such high base damage; but if you're doing Dash-Attacks for the dash effects with your extra dashes, you're just getting the weak Dash-Attacks; and if you're focusing on your normal Attack combo for the high base damage, you're not getting anything out of your dashes.

And Maim damage takes so long to proc that most enemies are dead long before that.
