Dw I’m not the type of person who will feel bad about not being at the top of a video game. I like to acknowledge that other players are better than I am and that I’ve got a lot of room to improve! When I say my time was bad, that doesn’t mean I feel bad about it. That only means I think I am capable of a significantly faster time (although I don’t think I’ll grind for it)

I play on Switch but I’d have to imagine I have every achievement by now

So I've got a quick question about the final fight while on high heat (extreme measures on max) so possible spoilers: ||I'd reached around halfway through the second phase in the fight against Hades when the symbol of cerberus appeared in the bottom right and suddenly i was 120 health down and completely out (had no death defiances left so that was literally end of run there). Just wondering if anyone can explain what happened with cerberus, or maybe how to prepare for it next time? cheers||

you need to reach maximum hearts with 6 olympians, which means doing their favor to unlock their heart and giving them an ambrosia, except for demeter, who you don't need to unlock her heart for it to count

but yeah it takes a while and will cost a lot of nectar

I just pumped my gemstones into the gems->keys->nectar pipeline at the wretched broker's and made sure I had like half a dozen nectars at the start of each run

so I could just fling them at every eligible entity I encountered for a while

It seems like this discord server, at lest with who's active, is generally a lot higher skilled than most of the hades community. Seems like what people here/on the speedrun.com categories think of as high heat is quite a bit higher than it is for more casual players, which makes up a really good portion of the community

as a more casual player I felt super good about getting the true ending, all the hidden aspects, etc. Now even my 27 clears, highest heat 16 I feel intimidated by people here while it’s the other way around for the rest of the community

Especially for my irl friends that play the game, most of them haven’t cleared once yet
