The grind at first was hard but then runs got easier as I got the majority of bonuses from the mirror

Another good way to get blood is, to do some quests. I just cleared the game today 4 times (5-8th clears i ever had) and did 2 major quests that rewarded me like... a lot of blood. I guess like 14 bloods.

The prophecy board has a good chunk but it ultimately comes down to subsequent clears.
You can also trade in at the vendor, but that gets expensive very fast.
I will say that a few early ambrosia isn’t a horrible idea though

Fist 4th aspect: ||Backloading the Maim damage makes sense, because 400 up-front damage is enough to trivialize all of Tartarus and most, if not all, of Asphodel, and would render the mutual damage buff status effect pointless against anything but bosses until Elysium. The way it works now a) gives you finisher damage against an enemy you might not have been able to kill for whatever reason, b) justifies the +50% enemy damage by giving you some serious burst, and c) gives you a fun little timer so you can challenge yourself to kill the enemy before the Maim procs

I was actually using fully upgraded default blade, so faster attack, then I got Epic Swift Strike, and my two Daedalus Hammers were Flurry Strike and Cursed Blade.

||I thought that at first too, but the reason the dash-strike deals 20 damage is because it instantly follows up w a regular attack, so long as you don't cancel with a dash, which means the effective dash strike damage is 80 (20 + 60)||

There's nothing about Zag fists that synergizes with Lambent Plume as far as DPS increases go; I cleared every single room on moderate heat w Plume using Zag sword because your DPS goes way up in comparison

The problem I have with that is that a ~1/6th chance to dodge damage without further dodge chance honestly isn't as powerful as it sounds, given the kind of damage enemies can do. Relying purely on RNG just isn't satisfying, it needs a little something extra to give you a consistent benefit I think
