If your game crashes / process terminated when there're 3 boon options up on the screen, you just lose the progress of the entire run?

When you restart the game it doesn't go back to the current room, it just discards everything, as if this run never happened

Is this intended, or do you think it's a bug?

That's just how the save system works. So in that sense, it's "intended." But it's not ideal, so it's a "bug?"

Basically the game makes two saves, a backup save which is profile1.sav and a temp save which is profile1_temp.sav

In case of crash or power outage, it would load profile1.sav and bring you to the house

You might be able to retrieve your run if you do some manual save reset.

But not guaranteed because we don't know how that temp save fared during the crash

Ask in #h1-tech-support for more info.

profile1.sav is used for more than just a backup

it's the file that would be load if you hit the give up button

profile1_temp.sav is the one that includes your current run progress

basically for practical intent and purposes,
profile1.sav saves up to the start of the run
profile1_temp.sav saves up to your latest room

Ask in #h1-tech-support for more info for sure, I know something about the save system but am definitely not an expert.

I prefer Pride over Legacy. There seems to be a more noticeable difference to me. Always get Epics and still get Legendaries and Duos just as often as without Legacy.

I can see arguments for authority or persuasion but I prefer Persuasion as Authority only rerolls within it’s set and Persuasion gives you another chance for a different/better perk.
