i know how it works, but with my hammers, it just dont fit

the damage you get from power shots is always worth it on foes that have enough health or armor to warrant it. you pretty much only spam small charge dash-strikes on enemies where you don't feel you can get off a power shot or are too lazy in the moment, or low health/armor foes
also twin shot and point blank are perfect for power shots, though
as 4thqueen said, you tag as many foes as possible and line up power shots to shred through them

If your attack slot has a boon, then the attack does not get a buff from shattered shackle. If your special slot has a boon, then your special doesn't get the buff. The same goes for the cast.
I imagine that chaos does not have an effect since the boons are not in the core slots.
