Doesn't really gel entirely but I've got Ares cast with larger AOE and draw enemies in + the poseidon special which also causes splash when enemies hit walls, and then reflecting constantly with attacks... so crazy AoE while keeping projectiles at bay

yeah, i think just adding another god or 2 and maybe another weapon would be pretty awesome and enough but another god means more dialogue that not only has to interact with other gods but dialogue from the other gods that interacts with the new god etc. and a lot of balancing for the boons and also balancing for any new weapon - it's just... a lot ><

@flint lodge A little late responding though thank you! Hypnos was always a welcome change of pace for me throughout development. I'm not sure if we'll share the "raw" files from recording though appreciate your interest. Like many of the characters, Hypnos definitely has some vocal processing to get him to sound the way he does, though I do pitch up a lot for him to the extent I can. Huge props to Darren for being a great director in the recording sessions.

I bought the game right at launch back in 2018 and was obsessed, before putting it down and waiting for the finished thing. It was incredible to come back to it (as well as following the journey through NoClip) after these last couple years and finish my first run

Syndic, I got to do some voice work on Pyre as well, and really enjoyed it then. So if ever we do need someone to pitch in on it in the future I'm always interested, even if it's random enemy grunts and such (Darren and I provide the voices for all the standard foes). AFAIK Dusa's and Mom's are independant, but that of Aphrodite requires to have the one for Dusa. I have 10 Ambrosia in my inventory, I've tried talking to Dusa in my past 10-20+ runs with nothing new popping up, and I have all of her hearts in the codex.

So I've played 60+ attempts by now, close to getting my first clear. I think I've used cast 3 tries or so, I don't really understand how it works, used it only as blade rift, and even then it wasn't really useful. Is this normal, or am I missing out?

cast is super useful, especially as it can allow you to deal more damage to enemies with 'stones' in them
also once empowered with boons it can help immensely in clearing rooms, blade rift is one example
but I also like Zeus' lightning bolt, which strikes multiple enemies, Artemis' seeking arrow is great as well...
