I think the Poseidon boons pair well with the adamant rail because it gets things out of your face and in good mid range and the abilities themselves just do good damage.

I think zeus on attack is the best for rail.
You deal a lot of extra damage. And his other boons make it even better

So I like using poseidens gift for first stage to get a good set of boons and then switching to skellys tooth for the next one because screw no walls, but I was planning on using hades collar for third stage just for longevity.
But it would be better to know which stages end when so I can plan better

I started playing this week on switch , and I feel like I have such a love-hate relationship with the game. Mostly love, to be fair. But there are a few things here and there where I'm just "what? why??".
It also kind of sucks that the game has sort of been "out" for a couple years... but all early access. So when I try to Google questions, I find a lot of answers from 2018 or 2019 that are super outdated. (For example, talking about broken spearpoint pre-nerf.)

one question I do have is how to tell what will/won't be able to be deflected. it seems a little random sometimes. For example, I was surprised that the butterflies seemingly can't be deflected. Or ||Alecto's razor blade thingies||. I sort of feel like I'm just guessing sometimes. Also, can ||Theseus' spear|| be deflected? I could have sworn I've done it before, but I just tried and it failed miserably.

Hades is there because he has a resistance to heat where as a normal human soul would probably burst into flames just by being there. Like lava. Doesn’t matter if you touch it, lava is so hot if you get near it you burst into flames.

So say you want to use the Sword. You'll get bounties for Heat 1 that are the same as it was at Heat '0' (or, playing without any heat at all). Blood, Diamond, Ambrosia, more Blood for all 4 bosses. Once you finish a run at that specified heat level (or above), you can then get rewards from Heat 2 bounties for the sword.

Even with that though. A lot of the ones I have played went through EA and at launch were pretty good, then about a year later became super good. This one is pretty impressive right at launch. The devs really worked hard to make sure this one was rock solid.

I would love a game mode to see how far you can go with increasing difficulty. A "survival" playthrough basically. At the end of a run just before the final boss, you should have an option (maybe chaos?) To "lock" your build the way it is and get sent back to the start with +3 random heat, and all enemies would be stronger just like it was the "next" area. Boons would just give you small amounts darkness/coin/gems/keys/nectar (depending on the god) this way you can play the game like normal, but if you get a really good build by the end you can use it to farm see how good it really is, and how far you can get with it.
You could theoretically keep going back to the beginning forver.

I stopped playing for a while at ~130 runs. Then got back and start played with controller instead of keyboard at 140. But now I'm back to winning everytime at H14. So i'll try 32 soon maybe
