I personally prefer to keep as much distance from him as possible if I'm not going in for a strike. (I actually tend to favor Exagryph and Coronacht against him for the reason that it lets me keep my distance while still being able to attack.)

I managed to get halfway through the end fight with that trash run btw, I had one good thing that gave me hp when I killed an enemy with my special, so I was farming the skulls and that worked for a while, but there came a point where it was just more work than it was worth so I just went for it and got about half way through.

Yeah, no, the best you get is Dusa's Harpy Feather Duster keepsake, which gives a small chance at finding food when breaking pots
and yes, the contractor can put in fountain rooms as well to restore health.

@rugged bough as you collect darkness and keys, you will unlock more parts of the mirror and more weapons. A couple of the things in the mirror deal with health. There is also a couple keepsakes you can get that deal with health. These are obtained by gifting nectar to people in the house of hades (you get nectar from the dungeon and keep it when you die)
The contractor's "Work Orders" tab is mostly not cosmetics, and add things to the dungeons, including randomly spawning fountain rooms that heal you. Also, upon completion of every boss, you move to a new biome and the start of each one has a fountain that heals you, along with a well of charon that can have healing items in it randomly.

@smoky wharf it's shared with Family Favorite, which gives you percent damage based on the number of different gods whose boons you have. for me, i like Family Favorite better, just because i don't have to think about applying debuffs, but Privileged Status caps out at 40% more damage, where as maxxed out Family Favorite only gives 5% per individual god, so that one can go bad based on the rolls you get for gods
