I wouldn't say that. The upgrades that gave me +2 uses of my magic and revives upon death were literally game-changing

The magic uses in particular have been insanely strong

Cast builds are hard for me

You do start extremely weak, though. Once the boon synergies and darkness upgrades start rolling in, you naturally start beating stuff easier even without a whole lot of effort on your part. I think it's a perfect mix of player skill and itemization

I just started playing it heavily today. Played it maybe a year ago and decided to just wait until the final version. It was definitely worth the wait. I love greek mythology so I'm really in to these characters. I really enjoy the god boons. It's a really fun system and it doesn't feel boring playing over and over again. Before the 1.0 update I had beaten the Final Boss with all my weapons on 0 heat and 1-2 heat... After 1.0 my heat progress was preserved, but some boss bounties are showing up as available with 0 heat, even though I've already beaten them. Is this just a visual bug or something? So, after completing Dusa's bond, ||she's supposed to eventually give you back 5 of the ambrosia you gave her. I happened to complete her and Meg's bonds at the same time. Then, Meg slept with me. Then, Meg told Dusa about it and Dusa was happy about it. It's now been... 15? 20? Escape attempts, and Dusa still hasn't given me the ambrosia back. Is this a bug? or might it take a really, really long time to trigger? I've encountered several single-line R1 encounters with Dusa at this point, so it feels like it's bugged....||

@brisk trail I don't know about ways to advance faster without more context like where you're getting stuck and stuff but I think in general it pays to practice dashing, it's often your best defensive/positioning ability, make sure you know your boons so that you can use them to your advantage (I think back button or tab shows you your current boons and bonuses) and don't get greedy when fighting bosses, if you take the time to learn how the bosses behave and play defensively you'll save time and effort in the long run. There's more info in #h1-for-new-players probably

@sterile frigate There is no such thing as a "bad" aspect. All aspects are extremely viable at high heats (though some work better than others). All it takes is a good amount of practice and time in the weapons and a good idea on what boons work with the weapon
